There has actually been very little criticism of Bp. Fellay or Fr. Schmidberger on this thread, which is sort of curious on this board.
The film has all the evidence and squarely lays the blame at the feet of Bp. Fellay and Fr. Schmidberger.
The now-adult victim, "Andre," only became a victim because Bp. Fellay and Fr. Schmidberger shuffled Fr. Peignot around to THREE different parishes in France, before Peignot ended up at Andre's parish to molest him - FOR A YEAR. And then, after being assured by Fr. Schmidberger and Bp. Fellay that Peignot will have no more public ministry, Andre finds out THIRTY YEARS LATER (!) that Peignot is STILL giving overnight scout camps with the SSPX! That is the entire reason that Andre comes forward with his story - to FORCE Bp. Fellay and Fr. Schmidberger and the SSPS to DO THE RIGHT THING and get this MONSTER of a priest off the streets. So, the SSPX apparently sends Fr. Peignot for a period of a few years between 2011 - 2014, and then Fr. Peignot ends up with the Resistance at the USML. So, basically they "let" him walk out the door to become someone else's problem - the Resistance's problem. And, the Resistance stupidly took him in.
You know, it is very common for the child victims to grow up and despair over the trauma and shame of the abuse to the point that they commit ѕυιcιdє. This man, Andre, is actually a very BRAVE soul for coming forward to tell his story so that other children can be spared his fate, and to STOP the corruption in the heart of the SSPX and its leadership.
