Priests are to the faithful as parents are to children. There is a reason we call them
"Father."
When parents argue in front of the children, it always hurts the kids, sometimes it
leaves permanent scars. The priests ought to know this. They should not be
carrying on in front of the faithful.
The fact that I see these reports of priests doing so, especially (no surprise here)
the ones that are pro-agreement or "Fellayites," speaks volumes. Yes, this is NOT
of God! The priests who are behaving so are likely committing sin, but you know,
if they were to confess this to their Fellayite confessors, they would likely be told that
they were expressing "righteous indignation," or some such excuse. This is not of
God, either.
I am hearing informed voices attempt to assure me that there is going to be no
accord with Rome. But I'm not convinced. It seems to me that +Fellay is really
devoted to this cause, as Tele says so well:
The crypto-modernists want the perqs of recognition.
Either you believe Vatican II was conceived in modernism or you "believe" the sorts of things Bishop Fellay said in the CNS interview.
Unfortunately, these "crypto-modernists" are stepping in do-do, for they are making
an ideological accord with B16, whose "hermeneutic of continuity" denies the
principle of non-contradiction. I dare say that these newcomers ought to be much
better prepared for they have recently studied Scholastic Philosophy, and
presumably, unlike the young Ratzinger, they did not "do poorly" in it!
We really need to wake up and see what is happening here. This is a turning point
in history. The SSPX priests should not be of two different ideologies. Some of
them must have been receiving corrupted formation in seminary for this to be
going on.
I mentioned to one priest who is well-connected to the SSPX that it's interesting
how the solid, traditional priests were formed by +Williamson, and many of them
had him for their seminary professor in key courses; while the left-leaning priests
were formed by +Fellay. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree," I said, and he
replied, "How true!"
It is very sad to watch as the priests turn on each other. I heard it today and I was very offended. I wanted to walk out but did not because my husband would have been upset.
I will not say everything here, because I believe that we are being watched and monitored.
This situation in the Society is really very nasty and now the priests are becoming snarky and hateful.
I do not believe this is from God at all.
I am terribly worried.
Please accept my consolation, CMo7, for you do not deserve this trial. It is not
your doing. This is a heavy cross for you to bear. My heart goes out to you in your
distress. Please know I am concerned for you and for others like you in this time.
