    The New SSPX

     TIA,

     The times are changing…

Note the deafening silence of the authorities of the New-SSPX with regard to the new Pope Francis I.

St. Bernard says that a priest is a watchdog, and a dog is worthless if he does not bark.

The often quoted (in the past old SSPX days) St. Felix II said, “To not condemn error is to approve it. To not teach the Truth is to reprove it.”

Have we forgotten or lost the spirit of Combat in our new soft-speak iron-authoritarian SSPX? Why is silence required, and why has “trust in the superiors of the SSPX” replaced study and knowledge of your Faith and the errors of Vatican II, as well as the new reforms?

The old SSPX refused silence and demanded study. “Oh, the times are changing,” said Peter Paul and Mary, along with Bob Dylan, in the 1960s – now Bishop Fellay and the new superiors are singing the same tune.

          N.C., Australia
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Why not?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • These people even attack the Archbishop. In essence they have the same spirit as the TFP. They set themselves as some authority on things when they often don't have a clue about they are talking about.

  • Read the collection of volumes, "Eli, Eli, Lamma Sabacthani?", by Atila Sinke Guimaraes of TIA; and then, determine whether he knows what he is talking about.

  • It would also be wise to read the two volumes of " Our Lady of Good Success", by Dr. Marian Horvat; and the two volumes of, "The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana", translated by Dr. Marian Horvat.  Then, get back to us and let us know if you still believe that TIA is "clueless".

Tradition Family Property irks me. If you get on their books they pester you sending "gifts" and other fundraising stunts.

But I find Tradition In Action is full of useful information which I can take or leave. For me it is worth the taking. They have some very astute and well informed writers. And their graphics are great!

My understanding is that TIA is a breakaway from TFP and a return to the original mission of the founder.

  • Which is exactly the problem- their cult-like following of Prof. Plinio. TIA quotes him as much as the TFP do. Apple=Tree. I take all associated with these groups with a heaping dose of salt just as they do anything from the Archbishop.

You have to recognize where they came from.  The turmoil of
Vat.II caused a lot of interference with the normal practice of
the Faith in those days, and the TFP under Prof. Plinio was one
of the casualties.  The difference is, while most groups caved
in to the Newmass and Vat.II and Newsacraments, that was not
the bent of Prof. Plinio, although he did not survive long enough
to make his true direction clear.  However, his right hand man,
Atila Sinke-Guimaraes, did everything he could to keep all the
kittens in the basket.  He built up his readership one by one,
    with very personal attention.

TIA has nothing to do with TFP, even though Marian Horvat's
own brother (John) is one of the leaders of TFP.

The really sad part is that here in a metropolis of 15 million
people, hardly anyone is around to make some semblance of a
community with them.  It's really sad.  They are loyal to the
Canonized Traditional Latin Mass and pray and sacrifice for the
restoration of the Church.  And still it's taking FOREVER.

  • I don't know just how loyal they are to the Tridentine Rite. Perhaps you should ask them exactly where it is they go to Mass?

  • Tradition in Action by their own definition is an offshoot of TFP. Believing  that "Action" was lacking in the original organization, therefore  they kept Tradition in the name.  His interest in publishing and profiting from a co-written book is the only reason Atila left, from my understanding. In the war we are waging I am not certain how much we can count them on our side. They have no love for the Archbishop or the SSPX (new or otherwise) and no real commitment to the Tridentine  Mass, they are happy in any "Catholic" Mass from my understanding. The Traditional Mass, especially as Archbishop saw it, is the primary battleground for the souls of Catholics- is NOT their main battle, it seems to me that they are not in it for "tradition" but their own financial survival.
