Title: The Magical Mystery Tour
Post by: curioustrad on April 22, 2014, 06:16:06 PM
Tonight in Post Falls, Idaho, Bishop Fellay will begin the SSPX confirmation season in the United States. Any chance one of our intrepid movers and shakers might be in the vicinity and give us a report of proceedings ?

What Bishop Fellay says or does is no longer important for the fight for Catholic Tradition. His betrayal runs deep.

Why did they spend the money when Bishop Tissier de Mallerais is already here in the States?  a PR trip?

Actually it is of critical importance in the sense that if (as Siena suggests above) this is just a PR trip - what kind of public relations exercise will it be? If the rumors from Europe about a deal with Rome in the offing - what the Bishop says on these two trips will be of critical interest.

Could this be a hint at the next "miracle" from the current Rosary Crusade??

Fellay is like a sailor who has fallen out of love with the sea.

Whatever the new "miracle" is, they've already got it all planned out.

No confirmations in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Arkansas, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska or New Mexico.  That's a huge swath of the southwest.  So they all have to show up in Kansas?  (or Louisiana or California?)

It rather seems that +F has reserved for himself all the hot spots where the Resistance is strongest.  Alternatively, +Tissier is slated for the 4 spots where the Resistance is weakest.  IMHO.  Could Missouri be the exception?

Any word if there will be any Q&A after the Confirmations?

Deal or not, the neo-SSPX is toast.  Very few priests and faithful will leave when a canonical deal is achieved.

I'd expect that the dates of U.S. confirmations would be controlled from Menzingen, to arrange as pleasant a tour for Bp. Fellay as possible.  If so, somebody in Menzingen certainly rejected conventional wisdom about when to visit locations in the U.S.A., as exemplified by today's weather, according to <http://www.weather.com/weather/today/>:

Post Falls, Idaho: 34°F & snow at 6 a.m. PDT; forecast high 54°F & 'scattered thunder-storms' (50% chance of rain); forecast overnight low 41°F & 70% chance of rain.

Saint Paul, Minnesota: 43°F & 'mostly cloudy' ("Feels Like 36°F") ca. 8:00 a.m. CT; forecast high 47°F & 70% chance of rain; forecast overnight low 42°F & 70% chance of rain.

Sanford (Seminole Co.), Florida: 70°F & sunny at 9:30 a.m. EDT; forecast high 86°F & 'mostly sunny' with 10% chance of rain; forecast overnight low 64°F & 'partly cloudy' with no chance of rain.

Miami, Florida: 71°F & 'partly cloudy' at 9:30 a.m. EDT; forecast high 84°F & 'partly cloudy' with no chance of rain; forecast overnight low 69°F & clear with no chance of rain.

By mid June, the "Sunshine State" will be officially 2 weeks into Hurricane Season, and the weather will almost certainly have attained its fully oppressive summer heat & humidity.

But seeing that Bp. Fellay will already be in Florida (Sanford) on June 15 (Trinity Sunday), why wouldn't he try to fly into Miami on Saturday, June 14, instead?  That's assuming that Saturday would be much more convenient for his south-Florida faithful.  It's not as if he could bask in the south-Florida sun from the scheduled Monday until the weekend; the posting by 'curioustrad' (April 22, 2014, 7:51 pm) shows that he's scheduled to be in Kansas on the Wednesday 2 days later.

It's June 13!  Does anyone know where Superior General Fellay is?

In a posting not quite 2 months ago, he was scheduled to be at the Priory in Sanford (Seminole Co.), Florida on Trinity Sunday, June 15, 2014, for Hurricane Season
:incense:

Note *: A spinning hurricane symbol would be a nice touch here.  Are there any special technical requirements for creating a GIF file so it can be used as a 'smilie' on CathInfo?

  • .  Or for some other purpose either related to--or perhaps in defiance of--that season.

Today at Winona for the ordinations....

+Fellay ordained 7 Priests this morning in Winona and 5 new Deacons.

Also OFFICIAL signs all over notifying the faithful that ordinations next year would be in Winona on June 12, 2015.

By far the largest group of Trad Cats in many many years, maybe even the largest ever.

Check non Resistance forums for facts and pictures as very few Resistance types there, but many people are aware of Resistance but do not "see" a change in their Priests so no reason to "resist"

One has to acknowledge that Bp. F is very good at admin and keeping things on the road. The priests are sufficiently content and the laity are happy. The new generation are not fighters for the faith and would see Bp. W and Fr. P as too radical is this age of compliance and accommodation. For those still hardcore there are enough reminders around that things do change over time and that ABL's institution and the enterprise bearing the SSPX label could also change significantly.

So the group amnesia is something to be proud of, eh?

Never mind that 95% of Vat.II is acceptable.

Never mind that some aspects of Church doctrine are not conceptually formulated.

Never mind that Tradition develops and innovations can be properly understood.

Never mind GREC.

Never mind the expulsion of dozens of good priests.

Never mind the abandonment of entire monasteries and even a CARMEL.

Compliance and accommodation = aggiornamento.

On and on --- It's Gotta Be Okay (so I can sleep at night without my meds).

All of these things are so very important if one is locked into the SSPX/resistance universe. If one observes this from the larger framework of the whole Church, following the Menzingen follies is unimportant at best, and a waste of time otherwise.
It is the equivalent of a clerical soap opera, full of big fish in small ponds.

Ever since +Fellay has been in Florida, it's been raining for a good amount of hours and the SMELL outside is awful.

LOL, turns out he wasn't here yet earlier in the week but arrived late (around 4 hours?) today due to weather from Indianapolis. The smell got worst however around the noon hour.
