  • Although, I do not promote the Remnant, I do like Solange Hertz.

This article does remind me of Father Webers' sermons. May he join the Resistance!

"Sad to say, the besieged home is, as Chesterton again says, “like the church and the republic, now chiefly assailed by those who have failed to fulfill it. Numberless modern women have rebelled against domesticity in theory because they have never known it in practice.”  They have never known, apparently, domesticity is a fight to the death, the home a resistance cell in the very bowels of enemy territory, and the woman there a warrior from the beginning."

What can we do to turn this around?  Even if young women have a good example it is no assurance that they will follow.

Thanks for the article!  The SSPX has not always been kind to the women amongst the faithful.  I wish they all had a chance to read this.

  • "A real woman wants man's role in society as she wants hair on her face."   :laugh1:  I like it. I can't even bring myself to dwell for more than 5 seconds on the thought of hair on my face because it horrifies me to imagine it! And so should it be for wanting a man's place in society.

I've always been of the mind that a strong woman is a virtuous woman. I wish I had more of it. "Strength" can be a loaded term these days, as it is often confused with "masculinity." Strength is just an aspect of masculinity, not what defines it. Strength is also an aspect of feminenity.
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.
    ~James 1:27

I'm curious to what you mean "The SSPX has not always kind..." ?  What experiences have you had?  My personal experience has been that they are very encouraging of traditional roles.  Am I missing something?
