  • Dear Faithful,

Reverend Father Edgardo Suelo has just passed away this morning at the seminary at ten, from a heart attack.
He was brought from the Hospital two weeks ago, conscious, but quite paralyzed from his stroke and left us surrounded by priests and seminarians, and not in a lonely hospital bed.

We shall bury him temporarily at the foot of the statue of Our Lady in the central courtyard of the Seminary and commence the construction of a crypt  below the sanctuary of the upper future church.

    Fr Suelo was a soldier.
We never heard him complain about anything, and he was always thirsty for work in the Vineyard of the Lord. Doctors complained he never complained,
Fr Suelo always stood in the Truth.

In 2012, he immediately detected that reconciliation with the novus ordo church was from the Devil, purely and simply. He then took the risk, as his health was already beginning to breakdown, to join the Marian Corps and his help allowed us to hold missions that we would have certainly lost otherwise.

    Vade in Pace, Miles Christi.

  • I read this with a mixture of sorrow and joy, sorrow for the loss of a good Priest, and joy now for the repose of his faithful Soul...

Fr. Suelo joins the growing list of faithful traditional priests whom we have lost.

They should all hold a special place in our prayers.

I've never heard of doctors complaining that the patient is NOT complaining.
If that's not a typo, I would like to know more details about this!!

I hope someone can put together a sort of biography of his priesthood, because from what I've seen (small snippets) he was someone we ought to know about.

Neil, I doubt very much it is a typo. This sounds like a Chazalism to me.

I understand it that if the patient does not complain then the doctor has little information to go on, and so does not know how to treat. Of course, being a good and holy Catholic priest, he "offered it up", as my Mum always told us to do. She also was a person who almost never complained.

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,

Prior to his illness there is hardly anything written about him in Fr Chazal's newsletters posted on http://www.sspx-mariancorps.com/
    This is what is there:

We have to look for another place, all the while the Tanay group is calling us, thanks to Fr Suelo. Manila area is then 100 souls, but I think the XSPX is going to counterattack in Tanay. Fr Suelo says they will hold. The coming of Fr Suelo is the key outcome of the Bishop's visit in Manila. If he continues like that, other soldiers are going to join. For my part I am immensely relieved by this one good old fighting priest. Fr Suelo is as old school as old school can be, as you know so well.
