A certain neo-SSPX shill suggested that CathInfo is dying, and that another rival forum (a split-off from Fisheaters, several years old) has at some point become the place-to-be, at least compared to CathInfo.

I was going to ignore it, but I decided that I would take his lie and turn it completely against him, by spreading the TRUTH of the matter instead. That'll show him!

(Need I point out the contradiction that he was HERE ON CATHINFO shilling, and not anywhere else -- his ACTIONS expressed a belief that the most Trad eyeballs were to be found here on CathInfo. But I digress...)

The numbers don't agree with his flagrant lie.

Yes, I keep an eye on my numbers from time to time. Not on a daily basis, but more like a semi-annual basis. When I get bored or distracted, I look in on the status of CathInfo vs. other forums from time to time.
Well, it just so happens I had a reading from June 2020 for this other forum. About 5.5 months ago. I took another reading just now, and was quickly able to subtract one from the other, and come up with the following numbers:

Neo-Fisheaters:
+15,032 posts
+69 members

CathInfo:
+19,556 posts
+101 members

Said forum is hardly eating CathInfo's lunch. Nor do the data suggest that CathInfo is "dying" unless you consider every Trad Forum on the 'Net to be dying.

NOTE: CathInfo member numbers do not include banned members. I wish it did include banned members, actually, since most other forum software does NOT subtract banned members from the Total Members number. This artificially inflates the membership numbers of every forum except CathInfo -- an obvious disadvantage when comparing two forums to each other.

Hmmmm... Truth.  Sounds kind of revolutionary.
