  • A meeting is scheduled to be held in England in the coming days with the Kentucky priests Fr. Hewko and Fr. Pfeiffer. As of now, Fr. Cardozo is to be there as well as some other priests. The anti-Bishop Williamson crowd intends to unite to elect a superior-(shortly thereafter to declare himself Supreme ruler of the Universe to which all shall submit?).

No, seriously. This isn't satire. It's a developing story taking place in Wimbledon since yesterday, actually.

We can expect a "spectacular" declaration from this "meeting of the minds". Don't expect them to speak about the nature of the primacy of the pope, however, due to the fact that Fr. Cardozo openly refuses to say the name of the pope in the Mass (perhaps he'll get along well with Ambrose?). Yes, dear friends, a true "nuclear bomb" will be detonated, probably as soon as Friday, declaring all those priests and bishops "promoters of the New Mass" and "protectors" of cho-mos (pedofiles).

I have warned Fr. Cardozo at least twice privately and once publicly about the scandalous actions of Frs. Pfeiffer and Hewko and the finding and reports of Fr. Ortiz, along with sending him the contact info of Fr. Ortiz, but to no avail. He seems to be going head first into this one. I would personally like to beg for some prayers for him.

We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Oh how funny! Talk about a disaster waiting to happen.   :roll-laugh1:

They are united solely by their hatred of Bishop Williamson.

  • I would suspect Pablo/pfeiffer's secretary of state, Greg Taylor, organized it.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Looking at the picture of the three priests, the oddity of the coach beside this makeshift altar really strikes at me. It is like it is becoming the Fr. Pfeiffer trademark logo: coach on the Gospel side...check. I say this because I noticed it another time in a video where he offered Mass in Nashville. I mean, I don't want to sound judgemental about the situation of offering Mass in a living room because I was raised attending Mass in a hotel conference room...but for crying out loud! Remove the couch from the place where Mass will be offered! Is it that hard??? I would have offered to personally take it outside had I been there. It's like it is saying something, but maybe I am wrong.

I wrote about this over a year ago, but I focused on the junk in the living room. Look at the bookcase in the background, how the second shelf is basically a storage shelf for clutter.

Can't it be shoved into a cardboard box for the duration of the priests' meeting?
Sure, it's a slight annoyance. But for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament? Isn't He worth a bit of trouble?

  • Honestly, I don't see how Fr. Cardozo didn't notice it and say something. Maybe a language barrier or something. But I couldn't imagine Fr. Cardozo tending to the Mass centers of his soon to be superior and letting the couches sit around snuggled up to the altar. It is really unfitting for the occasion.

This is really sad. 10-20 years ago, he was a master of detail. He was world renowned for his mastery of Rubrics. He was criticized by some of his confreres for paying to much attention to detail.

Maybe now he permits or even invites a bit of "catechombs chic" to evoke the catechombs his followers are in right now -- the isolation and desperation, at least subjectively in the mindset of his followers who are desperate for him.

If everything was nice, proper, beautiful and well-equipped, his own slipshod scheduling (etc.) would clash and be quite noticeable.

If somehow most of his chapels could reach SSPX levels of chapel buildings and equipment, people would naturally compare Fr. Pfeiffer to the SSPX priests -- and they'd be horrified.

So what Fr. Pfeiffer is doing is called "managing expectations".

  •     No, it's the 1st Pablo/pfeiffer Resistance/Separatist War Council.
