Neil Obstat: Is Fr. Christopher Hunter still pastor at Immaculate Conception in Post Falls? And
if so, does he have an assistant or two there? I'm wondering if there were any
other priests in the room when Fr. Rostand gave this conference talk. And if
there were, did any of them ask a question or offer an answer when one of
the faithful asked a question to Fr. Rostand? I see one Mass schedule online
that has Fr. Crane, Fr. Hewko and Fr. Morgan. But if that's Fr. David Hewko, I
know that he's no longer there. What about the others?
I'm not sure how that situation works, but from the sound of the whole thing
on the recording, it seems likely that a priest being present would have had a
strong desire to speak up. So I'm wondering what was going on there.
No, Fr. Hunter has not been stationed here for at least a decade. There were other priests in the room when Fr. Rostand gave his talk, including the ICC prior. None of them asked a question or made a remark to our knowledge. About the "Mass schedule online:" None of the priests you mention are here, if that's what you mean. If any priest at the conference had a strong desire to speak up, fact is, he didn't.
I'm listening to
the October 27 sermon of Fr. Pfeiffer on the 4 Marks of the Church
and the Spiritual Life. He says at minute 15:30 that Holy (2nd mark) means that
the faith must be visible, and that in the present crisis in the SSPX, our priests
are being required to not make their faith visible. There are priests all over the
world who have written to Bishop Fellay asking him to not make an accord with
Rome, and that's okay, so long as they don't speak out in public.
At minute 20 he talks about Apostolicity (4th mark) is shown by charity, because
a Catholic wants to give something to show that we want to give the faith to
everyone you meet. If you love something you want to talk about it. If you
love God, you want to talk about God. Apostolicity is the first thing to go. The
second thing to go is Catholicity 25:50. Visible signs - making the sign of the
Cross in a restaurant when people can see you. At this time these things are
being diminished little by little.
The fact that Fr. Rostand could give this speech and hear these questions from
the faithful and give these weak answers, answers in which he attempted to
turn the subject even away from principle or even jurisdiction, and toward
'prudence' (you KNOW that Fr. Rostand avoids the topic of jurisdiction like the
PLAGUE because HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE WORD!
HAHAHAHA) - and through all this, that the other SSPX priests in the room were
silent - should tell us that they were
afraid to speak up.
Does it not?
You could ask them in person, dear hollingsworth, but do not quote them by name.
Our priests are afraid to speak up because they know that if they do, they will
be punished for speaking up.
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I suspect that these priests were not at ease, and they
wanted to speak up, but they could not, and therefore they could not
contribute to this 'thing' Fr. Rostand has been calling a "conference."
If it were truly a Catholic conference, the priests present in the audience would
have been unencuмbered from asking questions. But they asked no questions
of Fr. Rostand, did they?
And we have been thinking, you and I, hollingsworth, that the priests in the
audience were probably sitting there with questions in their minds that they
wanted to ask, have we not? Have we not been thinking that?
Maybe other readers of this thread are asking the same question..............
To quote our dear Bishop Fellay: "I would hope so!"(Cf. CNS Interview :reading: )
But Fr. Rostand is reading my post, here, and is shouting in his luxurious office
sitting in his overstuffed leather chair, "YOU! NEIL
OBSTAT! YOU DARE TO
TAKE BISHOP FELLAY OUT OF CONTEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Yes, Fr. Rostand, I take him entirely out of context, and I do so with PRIDE.
So what are you going to do about that?? Deny me Holy Communion??? What
if my friends wear the T-shirts I supply to them that say, "Hi! Nice to Meet You!
My Name Is Neil!" Will you also deny them Holy Communion?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHANor will I ask you for the names of the other priests in the room, and I put
this forward as a note of due caution to everyone reading, that we should not
be asking that their names be posted on the open forums. I will know right away
and therefore so will Matthew, who the trolls are, who the subversives are, by
seeing who demand or post the names of the other priests present there because
Fr. Rostand apparently has so much time on his hands that he can spend a lot of
it watching my posts and all the websites of the Internet looking for reasons to
punish priests whose names appear on public forums as in any way connected to
something that might seem to be related to the subject of someone, somewhere,
being opposed to the
HOLY GRAIL OF REGULARIZATION.And so, in the name of the silenced priests who suffered through this so-called
conference in Post Falls, Idaho, held under the oppressive and punitive watch of
Fr. Rostand, District Superior of the SSPX and paper-tiger-tyrant, I, too, would
like to thank the laymen:
Thank you, Post Falls Faithful, for easing the oppressive burden of your
dear priests who suffer for you, under the iron fist of the Menzingen-denizens.
And when you next meet your dear parish priests whose Patron Saint is St.
John Vianney, the saint who took no credit for the innumerable miracles of
his parish but rather opened his humble hands in the general direction of
the Patroness of the Children of Mary, the most renown Saint Philomena,
who has become
de facto in our own time the patroness of the
Traditional Movement in the Catholic Church, and said, "It is all her doing!"
-- when you meet them, give them my best. Tell them that we are praying
for them.
But be sure you are not being 'observed' when you tell him, because Fr.
Rostand might have informants. Or maybe he has hidden video cameras.
Or maybe he has a Communist hiding nearby waiting for a chance to build
a 'file' against your good and holy priest.
