  • Does this scandalize you?  I've heard H.E. say worse, believe me.

  • Does it scandalize me?  :laugh2: Not one bit! Father Bolduc called him a weasel, too! I was just going to pass it onto a friend from Australia who doesn't know the situation very well.

Our Lord called Herod a fox.  Why should it scandalize anyone unless it is said out of personal malice?  Bp. W. said it publicly, so Bp. F. is free to respond.  What would you have a bishop say?
"Golly, Yer Xclensy!  Can't we pway nithe?"
"I'll let you hold my cwozier if you be my fwend!"

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!  +WILLIAMSON  !!!

  • You all disgust me.

A Bishop has no right to level personal insults against his rivals. To me it proves that he cannot debate his doctrine so he needs to take the discussion to an emotional level and turn it into a slagging match. Some people need to grow up.

His Excellency was not getting personal.  If you listen to the comment IN CONTEXT he goes on to explain that Bishop Fellay's WORDS are weasel-like.  If he'd wanted to personally insult Bp. Fellay in public, Bp. W. could have utterly destroyed him.  Don't you think he could easily do so, since both have known one another since the earliest days of the Society?   In turn, Bp. F. could destroy Bp. W., if he so chose.  Neither man is out of control of his temper.  Let them handle it!

Soulgaurd, I don't think you know enough of Church, SSPX, or Resistance history to make statements like that.Did you even listen to the video and hear the context?

Bp. Williamson's words are like Our Lord saying, "You brood of vipers..." It is just and not put forth at an emotional level.

I think Fr. Hector Bolduc is a saint.

If he called +Fellay a 'weasel' then that's what he is.

Fr. Bolduc would NEVER make such a thing up.

I'd say the question is settled.  +Fellay is a weasel.  Period.  New paragraph.

It would appear your friend in Australia is going to be introduced to the situation real quick.

I dont need to listen to it, you all said what he is supposed to have said and you glee over it.
It is nothing more than an insult. +Williamson tries to discredit the manhood of +Fellay.
The only difference between the two is that +Fellay wants ( according to you and not himself) to reconcile with the vatican. What is wrong with you? The Catholic church is supposed to be hierarchical. You are not free to question your bishops unless you go sedevacantist.

So my question is, are you SSPX goers now all closet sedevacantists who just pretend to be part of the Catholic church but in reality deny it the right to rule over you? OR are you going to do the Catholic thing and submit to the authority which the church established, I.E +Fellay and hence the "Pope" you supposedly recognize?

  • And furthermore, I will also note that Sedevacantists like myself who reject the authority of the vatican with solid theological reasons for doing so have a much more detached and calm and polite opinion of bishops and traditional priests. Is this because you secretly know that the RAR position is wrong and so you feel the need to emotionally denegrate your opponents?
Is +Sanborn a "weasel" too? Or is the truth in fact that some of you are "whited sepulchres"?

Faithfully, a doubter of the merits of this "resistance" for several reasons.
