SUMMER NEWS - St. Thom. Aquin. Semin. Winona, MN 2013

Not to change the subject, but I read & re-read the Summer News and was struck with the seminarians' day.  They get up at 5:45 and go to Chapel for Prime & meditation, then go to heavy labor of clearing the woods at 7.  MASS IS AT NOON!!!
The traditional fast is from midnight & I can't imagine a man doing heavy labor until noon without eating.  He never mentions when they have breakfast.

I therefore just had to write to Fr. le Roux about this as every monastery, convent or seminary that I ever heard of would have had Prime &meditation in the chapel followed by Mass & breakfast, then work.  Are they following the N.O. fast?  Having Mass at noon is a strange N.O. practice since their fast is only 3 hours (or is it now 1 hour?)  What happened to the teaching that the first think in your mouth in the morning is Our Lord and starting the day off with Mass?
I didn't send any money so I don't know if I'll get a reply, but I'd sure love to hear their reasoning on this.

Yes, I also noticed the things that Neil noticed, but I figured that was to be expected.  Mass at noon was totally unexpected.

Maybe Deryk could answer your question, Thorn.  He doesn't
see any evidence anywhere of the "accusations made against
the SSPX."  So working to clear a forest all morning before
Mass at noon must seem just fine to Deryk.  But we'll probably
never hear back from him anyway.

If it were me, I'd guess that Fr. le Roux might be thinking that
they have Mass at noon "to incarnate Him in the midst of this
insane world,"
by doing it in the midst of this insane seminary,
but of course, he's not going to put that into words.  Maybe in
a private tea ceremony with The Great One, to, you know, score
some brownie points or something like that.  He could introduce
the topic in French, explain it in German and give the punch line
in Spanish.  That way, the maid wouldn't "get it."

And so, while pretending to be "traditional" they wouldn't
mind having breakfast at 6:00 am, then Mass at 12:00 pm.

Hey -- that's TWICE the transitional minimum and SIX TIMES
the "norm" since the "legitimate" changes after Vat.II.

So, what's the problem?

Remember:  Communism only PRETENDS to be atheist.  It's
in reality, essentially and ultimately, hell's own war against God.(1)
And we are seeing the errors of Russia spread throughout the
world, including into the SSPX, including into the seminary of Fr.
Yves le Roux.

March 2012 - that would be the month just before the AFD!

Hmmm...

I do not understand the resitance.  I see no proof of any of the accusations made against the SSPX.  Do you have concrete facts?

This post should not be seen separate from Deryk's other
post
, for the two of them may be all any of us ever see of
Deryk, so far, the two-post wonder-er:

also[/i]]Can someone please help me?  Where is there any proof of the following statement?  "[... We do not accept, in any way, shape or form, the heretical promises of] Bishop Fellay to the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith which he made last April 15th, in order to get a deal with Rome," Father said. "To sell one's soul to the devil, just to reach a practical agreement, is a grave, grave sin."

"Sell one's soul to the devil"???

I don't understand.

Maybe Deryk is really Bishop Fellay in disguise......
