Fr. Gabriel was recently back at OLGM for awhile, but is no longer there. Word is he was sent to his family in southern CA. He is probably roaming like Fr. Raphael did.
He is apparently facing some canonical measures because of his ludicrous actions in public. I am a witness to his theatrics. The Monks were pretty forgiving until he condemned them from the Monastery Sanctuary. Now he's out. Prayers are needed!

The knock against Silver City has always been that it lacks monastic stability: They are always travelling instead of staying shut up in their cloister like monks:

Camps, ordinations, etc.

And it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as evinced by the cases of Fr. Arizaga (4 monasteries in 5 years), and now Fr. Gabriel.

The situation with Fr Gabriel Tran is not new.

To my knowledge he was given a leave of absence for health reasons, going to San Jose CA where there is a large Vietnamese community, as in many parts of California.

Fr Trin had just disappeared from his brief association with tradition.

So there was no longer a traditional Vietnamese speaking priest anywhere in America.

Fr Cyprian granted this leave of absence for both reasons, Fr Gabriel’s poor health (he had a long list of seemingly incurable ailments, probably originating in S.E. Asia where he was born and raised) and secondly to reach out to the Vietnamese, especially to the older non-English speaking generation.

The local Novus Ordo Vietnamese priests in California quickly blocked the faithful from attending Fr Gabriel’s Masses, seeing the danger of divisions, etc.

The group attending his Masses dwindled down to a handful, this was at St Thomas More Church in San Jose.

In the meantime, Fr Gabriel’s health relapsed, getting worse than ever, after a brief time of doing quite well in the California environment which resembles climate conditions found in Vietnam.

He had been increasingly under the influence of a few Vietnamese families who follow “The Book of Truth” the infamous 4-volume set of books promoting the ever-popular End Times Doomsday doctrines.

Fr Gabriel was sent to Vietnam by them to be “healed” by a mystic “Marie” who gave him a potion to drink and he was “healed” of the entirety of his health problems.

In meetings with this mystic person, if you are approved, she goes into a trance and begins relating messages from Our Lady. There are other mystics in Vietnam who have been proven to be fakes because they became proud, but this “Marie” according to Fr. Gabriel is the real one because she is humble.

Since that day, “Marie” skypes daily messages from Our Lady worldwide to those who are worthy of them, such as an unsuspecting priest such as Fr Gabriel.

He is now in the state of complete “mind control” from this medium in Vietnam.

Ask him a question and he will skype his mystic messenger for the answer,

using Our Lady’s I-phone as he calls it. He cannot bear to be without this telephone, he started screaming at the Monastery when it was taken away.

At the Monastery, he was proclaiming in public to be Our Lady’s chosen oracle of the End Times, no other priest in the entire world is worthy of these prophetic messages, only him.

The monks were worried that Fr G had gone crackers.

Fr. Gabriel and the followers of this doomsday cult are above all Church authority, religious rules or Canon law, as they themselves say, since they are under direct orders from God the Father and Our Lady. All other priests and bishops throughout the world are bad and not worthy of these messages. They are the “perverse generation” Our Lord speaks about in scripture.

Anyone who challenges them will be destroyed by the Holy Ghost, their names erased from the Book of Life by God the Father, St Michael will allow them to be possessed by the Devil, and so on … very bad things will happen to you !

“The Book of Truth” is their bible, written by Marie of Divine Mercy (Carberry) in Ireland.

According to these teachings, and proclaimed by Fr. Gabriel :

Pope Francis is the false prophet

Pope John Paul II is in heaven

Obama is the anti-Christ

Medjugorje is real

Divine Mercy is real

World War III was to begin in December 2017 (oops !)

Trump will leave office in 2018.

The great tribulation will begin any day now with a global earthquake,

provoking tsunamis on the coasts.

Worldwide nuclear war will happen in 2018.

Only 4 states of the USA will survive the catastrophe.

A Garabandal “universal call to conscience” will take place to warn souls of their status before God, giving them one last chance for conversion.

Our Lady has run out of tears, thus the bleeding eyes of her statues in various places in the world.

There is lots more, but you can research this Book of Truth yourself.

This End Times cult seeks to unite all similar groups into one so there is worldwide unity !

But Fr Gabriel is the only priest approved by Our Lady to promote her messages !

Father claims to now hear the voices of God the Father, God the Holy Ghost, Our Lady, St Michael the Archangel, directly, with or without the Skyped messages from “Marie”.

Be careful when drinking miraculous potions from Our Lady !
He sounds perfect for olmc in ky!!!

OLG at Silver City was my last and feeble attempt to try out a monastic vocation. That was eight years ago. I can attest to the travelling monk question. Father Cyprian and several other monks at the time were in Europe when I arrived for my visit. I did manage to meet them by the end of my stay. Most of my official dealings were with Father Gabriel. I believe I wrote somewhere on CI about an interesting moment with Father Raphael.

It is thus disconcerting to read what has been posted on this thread. Much prayer is indeed needed.
