  • Very well done. It looks like Fr. Rostand has retained a new PR manager, none too soon either.
Is it just me, or was their a very subtle, measured, "message" about being "outside the Church" at the end of this flick?

  • I heard you had to register and pay a $35 fee if you wanted to join in on the pilgrimage.  Is this common?

  • I did not go on the pilgrimage but the fee sound reasonable.  I'm sure these pilgrimages are expensive for the SSPX to carry out.  There are accomodations that have to be met (i.e. port-a-potties, tents, etc.).

    Ultra,
I did not pick up on the same message you did.  I found no reference to being "outside the church."

  • $35 was for the one day registration.  I don't know if it was per person, or a family deal.  I don't know if you could skip the port-a-potties, in case you needed to spend the money on gas and food.

  • If the disgraceful public events within the Society over the past year had not taken place, it would be easy for us (me) in the flesh to be impressed with beauty and inspiring video complete with Hollywood style music and camera work.  I might trust is what is shown to us in such a production piece more if those who stand for Tradition in an uncompromising fashion were not threatened with the loss of the sacraments by their defense of Tradition.

If the now public knowledge of large benefactors holding sway within the Society to expel a Bishop of the Church from the Society and one lawyer seemingly holding power within our midst were not known, it would be easy to be carried away by such images and music as shown in the video.

We cannot take anything away from those who participated in the pilgrimage.  By itself, however, it needs no grand music or film showing their devotion to Mary.  I sorrow if they were used as part of a move to remake images from the destruction of the past year.

Society of St. Pius X, yes by all means inspire us through holiness, uncompromising faith and action, and humble speech and behavior all in total devotion to our Lady.  There is much destruction to repair.
