"Sarto" is the German equivalent of "Angelus Press" -- that is to say, the official book publishing organ of the SSPX in that country.

And they are sounding exactly like the FSSP in more and more ways!

Most recently, 2 of their books speak of the "Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite".

We have pointed out previously the publications, each one more liberal, of the publisher Sarto of the SSPX German district.

This time we have found that in the announcements for the Missal and Roman Ritual (by the way, edited by the Fraternity of St. Peter) speak of "the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite".

Hemos señalado anteriormente las publicaciones cada vez más liberales de la Librería Sarto de la FSSPX de Alemania.

Esta vez hemos encontrado que en los anuncios del Misal y del Ritual Romanos (editados, además, por la Fraternidad San Pedro), hablan de “la forma extraordinaria del rito romano”.


"Ordinario de la Misa para la forma extraordinaria del rito romano. Dondequiera que la Santa Misa es celebrada de acuerdo a la forma extraordinaria del rito romano, es una gran ventaja dar a los fieles un misal compacto que facilite su comprensión profunda de los sagrados ritos" [...]

"Sarto" has also a branch in the District of Austria: Sarto - Österreich. Therefore two districts (and the German speaking part of Switzerland) get poisend by Sarto.

The main problem with "Sarto" is not a certain closeness to FSSP vocabulary, but its strictly profit-oriented business.
"Sarto" sells (nearly) every book. It is even in their slogan: "Alles über Sarto bestellen" ("Order everything via Sarto").
The consequence of this attitude: "Sarto" never limited itself to the selling of truly catholic books (too less business). Therefore they sell modernistic, liberal,... rubbish and (nearly) every modern, acatholic book.

A few weeks ago they used for example the "canonization" of Mother Teresa to advertise a book about her. It can still be found in Google-Cache (Mutter Teresa).
