The SSPX Resistance has a dedicated chapel in San Antonio with weekly Sunday Mass:
http://www.StDominicsChapel.com

I'll start us off --

The chapel in San Antonio, TX as well as the mission in Austin, TX will be getting a new priest on August 15th. Fr. Stephen Zigrang will be stepping down.

He has been the pastor of these two locations since August 15, 2005.

I don't know any other details; neither the destination of Fr. Zigrang nor the name of the new priest.

Fr. Zigrang is 63 or 64 years old; his next position could be a semi-retirement. He was "neutral" with regards to the Resistance. He certainly never fought it.

He is not an SSPX priest, but a "friend of the Society". He was a canon lawyer who became traditional. He is featured in the book, "Priest, Where Is Thy Mass?"

This change comes hot on the heels of last year's change -- a new prior in Houston, TX. Fr. Kurtz is certainly more of a "company man" than the former prior.

It may be for the better... as from what we understand, he needs to be conditionally ordained.

Actually, he has been conditionally ordained.

At any rate, he is not the problem. It's the neo-SSPX and their new "brand" and new-found love of Modernist Rome that is the problem.

This is sad news. I been going to St. Josephs for about a year now and I like Fr. Zingrang. He is very patient and understanding. I pray this new priest is the same.

I attended Mass with Fr. Zingrang for 5 months in Corpus Christi, TX.  He came every 3rd Sunday to offer Mass in a hotel.  From what I remember his sermons were very good.
