If I didn't know better, I'd think it was a sick joke. But remember how that happened? It was on the occasion of the beatification of Pope Pius IX, who gave us the Syllabus of Errors and Vatican I and the dogmatic definition of the Immaculate Coception -- THAT Pius IX -- it was on the occasion of his beatification that the infamous John XXIII of infalicitous memory (words of Canon Gregory Hesse, whom I heard in person say them) was named "blessed" as well.

Friday June 15th is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Double of the First Class. So why announce this day?

I'm looking at the calendar and can't find another day that would be a greater insult to Our Lord or to Tradition, to announce this dirty deed.

Exactly.

Some public act of unity or deference to VII Rome will be required of the Society leadership, soon, if history repeats itself as it did with the other trad organizations.

Maybe the feast of SS Peter and Paul on the 29th or worse, the feast of Pope St. Pius X in September.
