I was asked if I give $$ to crisis center for ultrasounds?  My thoughts are:  money could go for federal grants that cover ultra sounds.

I don't know anything about that particular crisis pregnancy center. But a few years ago, an SSPX priest was telling people to donate to a center that did ultrasounds. The problem is that when women would come in, they would also sign them up for NFP classes, and I think they might have also promoted the morning after pill in some cases, as our local diocese was doing.

So before giving them money. I would do a deep dive to understand what else they are up to.

Yes, I looked into Aid to Women, being promoted. They accept 3 federal grants, 2 being TANF and Title X.  Ultrasounds are free, on their web site.   NFP would be taught wrong when taking federal grants.

You are not obliged to give to any special collection. When asked, simply decline politely, “I am unable to make a donation at this time.”  You need not give any further information like, “May I ask why?” 
“I do not discuss financial matters with anyone other than my husband and financial advisor.” 
That should end the matter.
