SSPX Italy - translation of Announcement
« on: March 12, 2020, 05:53:35 AM »
Here is an English translation of the announcement currently posted on the SSPX Italy, website.   I don't understand though, have the Masses been forbidden from before Ash Wednesday?   The people should go and kneel on the footpath outside!!!!!  Or hire a 'sports centre' and set up Mass there!  What are they going to roll out for the next 'big scare', once they beta test all the glitches and make millions off us in this current situation?

Note on the suspension of Holy Masses

As is known, the Public Authority has decided to suspend all public demonstrations and events, due to the health emergency linked to the Coronavirus, until Sunday 1 March.

As a consequence of this decision, the public celebration of Holy Masses was also effectively prohibited, while markets, shopping centers and sports centers remain open.

Unfortunately, the Fraternity of Saint Pius X is obliged to suspend all the celebrations with the participation of the faithful in the regions involved, not without stigmatizing the conduct of the Public Authority which prevents the Christian people from publicly raising their prayers to their Creator in such circuмstances .

In this regard, we cannot fail to be surprised by the lack of adequate reaction by the episcopate who raises his voice against the deforestation of the Amazon, but accepts, with prompt availability, the interdiction of the public cult to be made to God.

The priests of the Saint Pius X Fraternity will offer during these sad days the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass imploring the Divine Mercy to want to shorten the tribulation and bring the Christian people and their authorities back to the true purpose for which every man was created, Heavenly Bliss .

We invite the faithful people to join in spirit at the Holy Masses which will be celebrated and which will be regularly broadcast, both on Ash Wednesday and the First Sunday of Lent, on our YouTube channel: FSSPX Italia.
