  • For those who seldom venture into the Anonymous subforum, I'd like to draw attention to a post that is relevant to this SSPX Resistance subforum:

  • I have noticed an absence of sermons on the problems with the NO in the last 3 or 4 years.  Before that we used to get a fair number, not all the time, but enough to remind folks why they should stay away from it.

I was at the Dickinson, TX chapel yesterday and the priest did say something along the lines that the Pope and NO are wolves in sheep's clothing, not "good" shepherds.

  • Matthew and Marlelar,

I'm not part of the SSPX Resistance, so I'm not sure what their stand is on the NO and the new Vatican II sacraments. Is it their position that the new Vatican II sacraments are invalid, or do they believe in their validity?

I know that the mainline SSPX stand has shifted over the years, from originally resisting the new sacraments to now endorsing them, while still maintaining a preference for the Vatican II era Latin Mass (but never the pre-Vatican II Traditional Latin Mass). To me, that makes zero sense.

I'm sure the Neo-SSPX spies will issue a report promptly.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • I have a question about sung Masses which never occurred to me--do any of you know why SSPX chapels shy away from even missa cantatas?
