Were you in that same class, or were you some years removed?  I was in the Class of 1995 with Frs. Griego and Dreher and Gonzales.  Now, Father Griego would have made an excellent choice.  Seminary Professor in Virginia, Rector of Seminary in Australia, also spent time in Philippines, and of course fluent in English and Spanish.

I suspect, then, that it's very providential that I just happened to be thinking about him by stream of consciousness to English/Spanish speaking candidate for consecration, to Fr. Griego, to Fr. Dreher.
