  • What a coincidence... the topics and speakers are positioned to refute +ABL's adamant stance against joining newRome.

The "Spirit" of St. Pius X?  Is that something like the "Spirit" of Vatican II?  Did they just happen to forget to insert the title: "Pope"?  And why did they foist "Sedevacantism" on Fr. Rutledge when he was originally slated to deliver the topic, "St. Catherine of Sienna?"  With him being a former pastor at our chapel, every one of our chapel members can attest to the fact that he's an expert on St. Catherine of Sienna, and that he is very devoted to her.  There is much to ponder here.   :confused1:
But one thing is necessary. Mary hath chosen the best part, which shall not be taken away from her.

  • Maybe at this conference they could talk about some of Archbishop Lefebvre's statements about rejoining Rome like these:

“What could be clearer? We must according to Rome henceforth obey and be faithful to the Conciliar Church, no longer to the Catholic Church. Right there is our whole problem: We are suspended a divinis by the Conciliar Church, the Conciliar Church, to which we have no wish to belong! That Conciliar Church is a schismatic Church because it breaks with the Catholic Church that has always been. It has its new dogmas, its new priesthood, its new institutions, its new worship ...The Church that affirms such errors is at once schismatic and heretical. This Conciliar Church is, therefore, not Catholic.

(Archbishop Lefebvre, Reflections on his suspension “a Divinis,” July 29.1976; cf. http://www.angelusonline.org/index.php?section=articles&subsection=show_article&article_id=72)

We would have to re-enter this Conciliar Church in order, supposedly, to make it Catholic. That is a complete illusion. It is not the subjects that make the superiors, but the superiors who make the subjects...Amongst the whole Roman
Curia, amongst all the world’s bishops who are progressives, I would have been completely swamped. I would have been able to do nothing... [As for the Pope appointing conservative bishops] I don’t think it is a true return to Tradition. Just
as in a fight when the troops are going a little too far ahead one holds them back, so they are slightly putting the brakes on the impulse of Vatican II because the supporters of the Council are going too far... the supposedly conservative bishops are wholly supportive of the Council and of the post-Conciliar reforms... No, all of that is tactics, which you have to use in any fight. You have to avoid excesses... [Asked about signs of benevolence to Tradition] There are plenty of signs showing us that what you are talking about is simply exceptional and temporary...So I do not think it is opportune to try contacting Rome. I think we must still wait. Wait, unfortunately, for the situation to get still worse on their side. But up till now, they do not want to recognize the fact....That is why what can look like a concession is in reality merely a maneuver to separate us from the largest number of faithful possible. This is the perspective in which they seem to be always giving a little more and even going very far. We must absolutely convince our faithful that it is no more than a maneuver, that it is dangerous to put oneself into the hands of Conciliar bishops and Modernist Rome. It is the greatest danger threatening our people. If we have struggled for twenty years to avoid the Conciliar errors, it was not in order, now, to put ourselves in the hands of those professing these errors. ”
(Archbishop Lefebvre, Interview, Fideliter, July-August 1989)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
    John 14:27

The "problem of sedevacantism" is that +Fellay as much as justifies them (assuming they weren't already) as long as he continues leading the Fraternity down the path of destruction. The other "problem of sedevacantism" is that's exactly where many families will flee to, once +Fellay's agenda becomes obvious to the greater community. Certain (*) SV chapels already get additional parishioners for the Sacred Triduum, though the individuals we know personally couldn't possibly make that trek year round.

It seems that is by design.
Notice, saving souls doesn't seem to be much of a priority for the Superior General now?

Fellay's group seeks the polarization of the SSPX and the isolation of those
    who resist them.

This fits into the Fellay plan.
With the help of newRome, the SSPX Resistance will be labeled and demonized, more thoroughly than during +ABL's tenure.

  • Wait a minute!

    Can you imagine attending BOTH??

First, it's October 19th, and Fr. Rostand, +Fellay and company, then the next
weekend, on October 26th, it's Fr. Pfeiffer, +Williamson and the "hard liners"!

That would be like a WILD ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! But at least you could go
    home happy!

  • Will Father Chazal forgive me?
I intended to down-play "French influence" in the conference menu.
A simple American cuisine was selected over the prefered foods of our French SSPX governors.

CMRI has had a cnference every October for 52 years!  It ialways had a Fatima theme.

A few years ago the copy cat SSPX started having conferences in Oct.  Now their conference will be turned into a "re-education event.

Here is the flyer on the CMRI Conference this year.:

  • You are right Emerentiana!

October is Our Lady of Fatima's month and we should honor
her, her Son and St. Joseph.
The "Miracle of the Sun" was given to men to bolster their Faith.

The Fatima theme also fits easily into an SSPX Resistance conference
because the "3rd Secret" is related to the Apocalypse Vision which the Accordista's want to forget.
