Who is the father of lies, confusion and dissent?
Who has been trying to destroy the Church since its foundation and especially in the last 50 years or so?

If you know the answer to these questions then you also know who is trying to prevent the reconciliation of the SSPX with the Pope.

This creature has orchestrated the almost total destruction of the Church from within and you can be sure that he will do everything in his power to prevent the return of Tradition, Faith and Morals to the Catholic Church.

Stand up and be counted all ye who wish to help him in his vile works!

No, I'm sorry, Ruddy Farmer, although the answer to your (rhetorical) questions is very clear I just can't see that it's the devil trying to stop the Society putting itself under the authority of modernist Rome. It's not that anyone on this forum doesn't ever want the SSPX and the authorities in Rome to be singing from the same hymn sheet but if they're both to be teaching the same things to the faithful it needs to be the perennial teaching of the Church not the present poisoned chalice being offered by the present Pope. For a reconciliation Rome needs to convert.

Satan has always wanted to destroy the Holy Church, not just in the last 50 years.

During the last 50 years, Churchmen who are in all likelihood atheists, have been destroying the church from within.

The SSPX has done all within it's power to keep the Catholic faith from being distinguished.

Ruddy Farmer, do you see positive signs in the universal church at large, what we refer to here as the novus ordo church? If so, tell us about them because we'd all appreciate some good news.

At this time, a wedding between the novus ordo (as represented by a 50,000 lb slob who hasn't showered in weeks) and the SSPX (think lovely like Maria Sharapova but in a beautiful modest dress and head scarf) just isn't a good idea at this time.

There is a spiritual sickness in the novus ordo church.

Boy, you really have to be a sucker to believe the Pope wants Bishop Fellay to help him restore Catholicism to the Church!

I believe there is plenty of material published to demonstrate the uncatholocity of the current Pope, but then reading it would presuppose a kindly disposition toward truth, which will directly conflict with your papolatry and sentimentalism.

The Church is where the Faith is. Tradition has been preserved in spite of the efforts from Rome to destroy it. Had we not had Traditionalists such as Father Gommer De Pauw, Archbishop Lefebvre...where would we be now?
All those who followed the N.O did not have the Faith and most of their children never learnt it. Simmilarly, those who will follow + Fellay to Rome will do so because they have the wrong understanding of the Faith or Tradition. They have been too busy or too lazy to inform their consciences because they have been trusting the SSPX leadership to make the right decisions for them, meaning, defend it.
Now, thanks to the other three bishops many will doubt + Fellay and hopefully not follow him but a lot blind trusting people will follow the leader to the detriment of their souls because + Fellay will be under the same Modernists who have nearly destroyed the Church and will have to follow the "New 1962 Missal", CCC...

The battleground that is Rome is comprised of competing liberal interest groups, all with an eye on the next administration. And all including the so-called conservatives pay homage to Vatican 2 for the opportunites it gave them. Another recruit in the form of the SSPX with its recent official acceptance of V2 is hardly going to make any dent in the liberal trend. It will merely confirm it.

The current pope has not done anything that would indicate that he's changed his ways. The oral, written, and actions of his ENTIRE LIFE is recorded, and it is the life, a template, of a progressivist, a shrewed progressivist. If Ratzinger /B-16 changes, one would see a PROFOUND change, like a night to day change, for that is the difference between him and any pre-Vatican II pope, let alone a sainted pope like Pius X.
