  • I thought it was for Astralia-Asia. There should be a different one for  the US district.

  • I agree. They may change the title Australia-Asia-America. America hasn't done one that I know of and that's rather disappointing. We do need one of our own.

  • More toilet paper for Bp. Fellay. He wants his parishioners to be happy with his new programme and will find it useful knowing those who are not. These he wants to lose as the Society has done in the past. In a way it seems to regenerate itself because of this turnover of priests and laity and makes it easy to introduce novelty.

  • Putting Americans' names on an Australian petition seems rather counter-productive. Americans are voting with their feet and their pocket books. They are attending the True Masses in ever-larger numbers, and avoiding Fellay's fake  quasi-novus ordo masses in greater and greater numbers. I say fake because Fellay's priests must get their mission from the Nvus Oo bishops, who are not even ordained priests-- and this according to Father LeRoux, the U.S. seminary Rector! Secondly, they now accept the Novus Ordo mass as valid. All the analysis of the Novus Ordo from Cardinal Ottaviani, Bishop de Castro Meyer, Archbishop Lefebvre, and many, many others demonstrates that this " Bastard Mass" ( as the Archbishop called it) is just one of their many illegitimate sacraments for their conciliar church. That Fellay and his priest's now say these sacraments are acceptable is quite telling-- because Fellay has, in reality, converted to the conciliar religion.

Having said all this, why put names on a list, especially since the list will simply be perused by Fellay's henchmen to identify anybody they think they can abuse and pressure? far better to just go to the real Mass, get unquestionably valid sacraments from true priests, and continue to assist in the spreading of the good news of Our Lord.

  • As one SSPX goer said - "Signing the declaration is useless!  Even if Bp. Fellay had 95% of his priests walk out it will not change a thing."

And even if American's are voting with their feet and wallets, this is of no relevance to the SSPX heirarchy, they are financially secure already - they made sure of that before they making their move.

So maybe the declaration or a separate declaration should be sent to every priest. Maybe that will have an impact - maybe not.

  • I wouldn't be so sure the SSPX is financially secure.  The signs don't point to that what with continual fund raisers and letters from the District office requesting giving. Sure, we saw signs of large donations from the GREC influence two years ago, but there is just too many projects unfinsished and apparently not paid for such as the Phoenix chapel and the seminary which is said to not be completed now until 2016 or 2017.

The stupid laity are thought of by the  SSPX as having no say in the scheme of things within the Society and indeed, they have no official obligation to the Society, but to the contrary, nothing happens without funding.  Those who continue to attend SSPX chapels can and must continue to show themselves by their check books.
