The question now is whether Bishop Faure has left the resistance.
It is all most definitely against the thought of Bishop Williamson their philosophy. (anti pre 55- anti independence of priests)
It's very easy to show.
What's sad is that the man is barely dead a year and already people are dancing on his grave, and what he did for us, by spurning his ideas.
But he was always practical and knew how wicked people could be.
I should point out that we should not let emotional attachment to priests cloud our judgment. They can easily and sadly, often do go wrong, in this time of crises in the Church. Lets continue to pray for them, because their judgment will be more severe than for us laity.
All of this could have been avoided. For the last ten years those of us who understood Bishop Williamson were very charitable to those we could see were trying to cause trouble. We hoped it would not come to this. But sadly it almost always does.
