Folks, I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty explosive.

I absolutely want to give the benefit of the doubt here,so it could be a translation issue (Portuguese speakers welcome to chime in). I'm just putting it up here. With the link to the original:

Dear faithful, before saying a few words to you about the mystery of the Church in one of the gravest aspects of the crisis we are living through, allow me to present to you, in a few words, our priestly society: the SAJM.
What is the SAJM?

On November 21, 2017, Bishop Christian Jean Michel Faure promulgated the definitive statutes of the SAJM (Society of the Apostles of Jesus and Mary), a priestly society of common life without vows.
In doing so, the Bishop desired only to continue the work of Archbishop Lefebvre: the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX), in order to be able to say what the Archbishop wished to have engraved on his tomb: Tradidi quod et accipi (I have handed on what I received).
Why was it necessary to separate from the SSPX and found another society to continue Archbishop Lefebvre's work?

Unfortunately, the successors of Archbishop Lefebvre have departed from the line of conduct he gave them on several points:

  • Relations with Conciliar Authorities: Archbishop Lefebvre clearly established that there could be no practical agreement before a doctrinal agreement. One had to wait for the conciliar authorities to convert before placing oneself in their hands.
  • The distinction between the Catholic Church and the Conciliar Church.
  • Doubt regarding the validity of sacraments administered by the prelates of the Conciliar Church due to intention. This doubt led Archbishop Lefebvre to re-ordain priests ordained in the new rite before sending them to the faithful. This was also the main argument for consecrating four bishops without a pontifical mandate.
  • The rejection of the New Code of Canon Law (except for disciplinary decisions).

In all these points, the SSPX now has a new way of acting.

Difference from the "Resistance"

Can we be associated with what is commonly called the Resistance? While Bishop Faure received the episcopate from Bishop Williamson, we differ on several points:

  • The 1974 Declaration: Several priests of the so-called Resistance have moved away from Archbishop Lefebvre's 1974 declaration of fidelity.
  • The Pope and Liturgy: Archbishop Lefebvre required candidates to pray for the reigning Pope, cite him in the Canon of the Mass (una cuм papa nostro...), and accept the 1962 liturgy.
  • Structure vs. Independence: The Archbishop never ordained priests to be "independent." He wanted them integrated into a structure. Many in the Resistance believe they should not follow him on these points.
Our motivation is not to fight against other societies, but to remain faithful to the Church of all time by following the guide Providence gave us: Archbishop Lefebvre.

Conference: The Mystery of the Church and Supplied Jurisdiction

Modernism, the "sewer of all heresies," attacks the Church today through ecuмenism and collegiality. We must study the power of Jurisdiction (the power to command).

1. The Need for Hierarchy

God intended for man to be saved within a structured society (the Church). In the current crisis, the authorities are imbued with modernism. We cannot submit blindly because there is a risk of condemnation.
However, many faithful today only look for valid sacraments and nothing else, submitting everything to their own limited intelligence. This is a spirit of independence. If you only seek a valid host but no authority to guide you, you are paralyzing the priest's ministry. You must seek a representative of God to direct your soul.

2. Criteria for Choosing a Superior

How do you choose who to follow? Do not follow "independent" priests—especially young ones—who have no spirit of submission. Use these three criteria:
  • Doctrine: Ensure they transmit Tradition and refer to the pre-Vatican II Magisterium.
  • Valid Sacraments: Do not risk your children's eternity with doubtful sacraments (like the new rite of confirmation).
  • Secure Guidance: Someone who guides firmly without becoming a "guru."

3. Avoiding the "A La Carte" Spirit

Moving from chapel to chapel or society to society is a Protestant spirit. It makes you your own guide and sterilizes the grace of the sacraments. Two enemies threaten us:
  • Sensibility: Letting hurt feelings drive you away from a qualified (if blunt) priest into the arms of "nicer" people who lack the knowledge to guide you.
  • Rationalism: Either following blindly or, after reading three books, thinking you are a Doctor of the Church qualified to criticize all bishops.
Conclusion

At our seminary, we work daily to form priests to help save your souls. Help us through prayer, asking for vocations, and material support.

This doesn't seem very explosive to me. Anyone could see from the day they began that the SAJM was not in favor of the "loose association of priests" that Bp. Williamson was promoting. Obviously there's been a willingness to work together in many instances, but they formed as a Society despite Bp W's reluctance to do so.

What Father is saying is not that the SAJM is changing anything, but that those that call themselves "Resistance" is so varied at this point that the term is becoming diluted.

I think this approach is better than the well-worn "we're the REAL Resistance" that we've seen up to this point.

Not by default.
He lists 3 points which the Archbishop believed and says the SAJM adheres to those.
You don't have to be in the SAJM to adhere to those 3 points, but it is true that many who use the name Resistance do not.
I think someone like (Bp)Pfeiffer would agree on those 3 points, so this statement in-and-of-itself would not exclude him as he too has always wanted to build a structured organization.

The only break-away here is the question that has existed from day 1. Can you have those who believe in structure and those who don't working together? Can they both fall under the same umbrella?
It seems obvious to me that point #3 in isolation is not the issue, but that in reality, without point #3, you have the problems described in points #1 & #2.
