  • Hi All,

Rather than posting the priests' personal contact info, it seems more prudent to simply mention that someone on this forum has their contact info and either has already contacted them or is able to contact them to make them aware of the existence and availability of organized spiritual and material support.  Anyone who has already contacted the priests, just mention that they are "contacted" and anyone who has their contact info but hasn't yet contacted them for whatever reason, just mention that they "Have Contact Info".

1).  Fr. Ernesto Cardozo (Currently in Mexico) – Have Contact Info

3).  Fr. Floriano Abrahamowicz (Italy) - Expelled for criticism of sell-out - Have Contact Info

Blessings in Christ!  Again, this list is very simply to keep track of those brave and true SSPX priests who have spoken out against the current attempt by Fellay to betray the SSPX into the hands of the Modernists.  Certainly, there are many good priests who have left or been expelled from the SSPX over the years for different reasons, among them the sedevacant position, 1962 vs 1958 Missal, etc.  But, they are not part of this present situation.

Every priest on the present list is either still with the SSPX or left/was exiled simply because of opposition to the betrayal.  What theological positions they take later on after they have left/been expelled, like in the case of Fr. Soliman, are not relevant.  What is relevant is that the priests who have taken stands against the betrayal receive our spiritual support and are made aware of the availability of material support.

I thought this was a list to support the priests (and/or bishops)? If so, how does it not matter what theological positions they take after they leave the society?  That could be kind of dangerous.  If it is just for information sake I guess I don't see the point.

I guess my point is still where do we draw the line and who decides?

  • Ok, since some people are spinning off into outer space, allow me to bring things back to Earth, and bring a bit of objective focus to this list.

This list is to show what priests/bishops are feeling the heat because of the current Crisis in the SSPX, which started a few years ago at most.

Yes, the public treatment of Bishop Williamson in 2009 was logically connected to today's Crisis, and so the expulsion of Fr. Abrahamowicz (etc) is connected to the current situation.

But no priests before them will be added to this list.

This list is supposed to be a list of:

    1. SSPX priests, who still hold the classic Lefebvre-era SSPX position
    2. Who would happily be members of the SSPX today if it weren't for Bishop Fellay's new orientation toward A) Modernist Rome and B) the Jews
    3. Recently expelled, or in danger of same
    4. Who would be interested in joining a "restored" SSPX-type organization, under the leadership of one of the 3 faithful bishops.
    5. Most of whom have NO IDEA what they're going to do now.

As you can see, none of these elements applies to Fr. Cekada, the Nine, etc.

  • Si Si, No No

While we have a list of those resisting and exiled, perhaps a list should be compiled and posted of the overly-vociferous clerical supporters of the New Deal.  They are either ignorant puppets or evil... especially when they see their Cristero brothers martyred for the faith.

Leave the silent be for now, the line in the sand will be drawn in the very near future.

  •    Since we do not want to betray the discretion of those US District priests who may be biding their time before declaring their opposition to the sellout, I would be most interested to see a list supplied by Cathinfo readers of priests SUPPORTING the sellout.

If your parish priest supports the sellout, what is his name/parish?

Or what other priests do you know support the sellout?

And, does this topic deserve its own thread?

  • I agree with Seraphim.  A second thread with a running list of people who support the sellout would be very helpful.  It's too easy to confuse the two lists on one thread.

  • While the majority of clergy in England were neither Wolsey nor Cranmer the vast majority of the English clergy during the protestant revolt (cowards and traitors) are barking in hell.  We pray that in the resistance there are a few More Fishers and Campions.

Clearly we need fidelity not to merely the SSPX, Archbishop Lefebvre or the missal of "Blessed John XXIII (the second)), we need unbridled fidelity to Our Lord Jesus Christ and the perennial teaching of His Holy Church.

    Viva Cristo Rey!!!

  • It is not a matter of betrayal if they are vociferous (out of cowardice or otherwise).

If they are silent assume (for now) that they are not in favor of the "adulterous union".  If they are vociferous they should be exposed for the sake of souls!  Under whose banner do they stand?

I say put them on the same list, but separate the sheep from the goats clearly.

    Dear Seraphim,

As far as I know, most priests are not what you call "supporting the sellout". Most are just waiting to see the details of the doctrinal preamble and the detailed practical aspects of the canonical structure if any are offered. To label them as "supporting the sellout" is premature and counter-productive to the cause of Tradition, at best.

  • Charity requires that we assume the best about people, and then be forced to admit otherwise after much proof.

NOT the other way around -- assume the worst, and take them off the "crap list" when proof is found/given.

So, long story short, the Catholic way is to NOT compile a list of the "silent" ones and claim they are pro-sellout.

We must assume the best -- that they are good Catholics AGAINST a sellout.
