I don't think a man like him is harmless.
He gives Traditional Catholics a bad name, and he is deceiving the public with his inflated follower count (which he purchases or does "swaps" for). If he admitted it publicly, it would be one thing. Or if he admitted they weren't real followers, and didn't act like a pompous ____ because of it.
It's like a child cheating on his test, and then MAJORLY rubbing it in all his classmates faces that he's the only one that got 100% on that super-hard test. He calls the smartest kid in the class "stupid", because he only got 90%, and so forth.
It makes sense, actually. Those who earn a high score on their papers using their own talents and abilities (rather than cheating) usually are more gracious about it -- having superior intelligence is just normal to them, like walking or breathing, and they don't feel the need to make a big deal out of it. They wear it graciously.
I think this applies to strength, too. The ones who boast the most are the ones who have nothing to back it up. Those who are truly born with great strength are -- again -- so used to it, it's so normal/old-hat to them, that they don't make a big deal out of it.
But when someone STEALS that status, they usually wear it poorly and flash it all over the place.
It's very interesting, from a psychological and human nature standpoint :)
