This Fr. Themann has single-handedly assured his forget-ability in the
annals of the Church.  At one time he seemed to have some potential,
but now, he has revealed of what he is made, and it's nothing worth
    any attention.

Change his name to Father Forgettable.  Now it makes sense.

There are certain priests in history whose names have become a kind
of tainted thing, like Annibale Bugnini and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
and Martin Luther.  And then there are others who did damage like
that on a much smaller scale, whose names we've forgotten.  Fr.
Forgettable belongs to the latter group.

Funny:  it's still Father's Day right now...............

Fr. Pfeiffer takes this bull by the horns.  Call him The Matador.

Come and see Fr. Forgettable vs. The Matador

    Resistance to what?    :roll-laugh1:   :laugh1:

It's not your run-of-the-mill three word answer.  Fr. P takes it
for a 50 minute joy ride before dumping it over the cliff.

    Well worth your time.

  • The video wouldn't download for me w/o installing something...Checked Pablo's YT channel, wasn't there...I'd very much like to see it...If it's as good as it sounds the Resistance should make an effort to distribute it...."Prudential truth" huh? Yeah, sounds like " approved truth.."  or "Truth approved for distribution by Menzingen.." or " Listen, I've gotta attack the Resistance..they threatened to send me to Mongolia...have a heart..I've grown accustomed to Mama Leoni's cooking..."

It's not a video.  It's just audio, but it's pretty good quality.

It runs on one of the oldest and most common players, the VLC media
player, a standard since the days of Windows 98 or maybe before,
and it's still popular because it works so well.

    Free download for Windows

    Free download for Macintosh

It's great for transcribing because it shows you what the second
counter reads all the time, and you can pause and play, rewind or
fast forward (actually go back or go forward) all you want without
jamming the works like happens with Adobe Flash.

Also, it has a killer volume control that lets you go anywhere from
extremely quiet to maximum loudness, and it shows where distortion
is likely to occur, with a red zone.  Some recordings are pretty bad,
and the mic is too far from the person speaking, and they turn their
head or mumble.  Well, then you can turn up the volume for that
spot and hear a lot more.

The only pointer I would say is to select "save" the file instead of
"Play" because then you get the chance to save it in the folder of
your choice along with your own choice of filename.  I like to use
year-month-day format, so then all the files are automatically
stored in chronological order.  The year has to be first, then the
month, then the day, so today would be 13-6-19.  It might seem
goofy at first, but when all your files are in order and they all have
the same format, it's no longer goofy.  You can always find what
you need if you know what date it was.  And keeping things in
order according to date is a great idea across the board.  Time is
the one thing that is always dependable as to when things
    happened.

  • SSPXBVM thank you for the video.

Also, another resource if you'd like to download any Youtube video to MP3 for listening while driving (Resistance sermons/ talks are especially good for this, I think), you should try the following website:

    Video2Mp3.net

You simply copy the url of the video, and paste it into the webpage and click "convert". In a minute you can download the mp3.

  • If members of the neo-SSPX honestly have to ask, "Resistance to What?", then they have absolutely no idea what the fight is all about. This is spiritual warfare; it's not about playing kissy-kiss with the evil that inhabits the Vatican. Bp. Fellay should just join that sect, be granted a diocese in some far-off land, hang his felt banners and "concelebrate." Ridiculous!
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

    That's a great idea, s2srea!

I'll have to try that to get mp3 out of a YouTube video.  Just think,
you can load the MP3 of any video you want to play on the run, on
your portable device and play it back sitting on the beach or
lounging near a waterfall or flower garden or parkland.

What a great idea.  Now, two or 3 hours fishing ............
    might not be enough time!!

Glad you like it! Sometimes I sit in my car longer than needed when I arrive to my destination trying to listen to some of these recordings.

Bishop Fellay's "golden boy" with a silver tongue.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

In consideration of the question, "Resistance to What?" - how about if
we take a look at one of the archived links on sspx.org for an answer?

(It looks like one of the trademarks they gave up with the NEW LOOK was
the red font for active links.)

The source page is linked elsewhere with these words on sspx.org:
Some comments on the legitimate resistance of traditional Catholics to the ecclesiastical abuse of power

    Source
    Archbishop Lefebvre
    was right!

The recent publication of the motu proprio, Summorum Pontificuм, vindicates the resistance of Archbishop Lefebvre against the ecclesiastical "abuse of power" which sought to forbid the traditional Roman Mass and proves the veracity of the following two quotes from him:

This Mass is not forbidden and cannot be forbidden. (…) If a priest were censured or even excommunicated on this ground [i.e., for saying the traditional Roman Mass - Ed.], the sentence would be absolutely invalid. (…) We can celebrate it and the faithful can attend it with complete peace of mind, knowing furthermore it is the best way of maintaining their faith. (Open Letter to Confused Catholics)

I would say that we have to choose between an appearance of obedience - for the Holy Father cannot ask us to abandon our faith - and the preservation of our faith. Well, we choose not to abandon our faith. (Ibid.)

It would do well to remember that ultimately, the issue for Archbishop Lefebvre and for those who adhere to Catholic Tradition is the Faith as taught by Holy Mother Church:

We do not want to break away from the Church; on the contrary, we want the Church to continue. A Church which breaks away from her past is no longer the Catholic Church. (…) We are certain that the truth will come back. It cannot be otherwise. The Good God does not abandon His Church. (Homily, Geneva, May 15, 1978)

Time will certainly vindicate Archbishop Lefebvre of what else he stood for and defended.

    Thank you,
    Archbishop Lefebvre!

Behold, a great priest who in his days pleased God, and was found just; and in the time of wrath he was made a reconciliation. (Epistle from the Mass of a Confessor Bishop)

Fr. Themann's Three-Part Invention has been posted on YouTube --
with the comments and like/dislike - DISABLED.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=4PZoPkfKpL8

Now, why do you suppose they would want to disable comments
    and ratings?

Are they perhaps afraid of the consequences of having to see questions
raised they don't want to answer, like HARD questions, for example?

Are they afraid that viewers might be able to see how many DISLIKES
    there would be showing up?

Or, is it simply a matter of them not being able to CONTROL the
comments or the ratings to make themselves look good?

I may be wrong, but I think they're afraid of the Resistance.

It would seem that the videos would not have been posted at all if those
features could not have been turned off.
