  • Please list any priests trained or ordained by Bp. W since the 2012 split.

I am not aware of any, but if there are, please enlighten me, people of good will of CI.

    Thank you.

  • If anyone would like to include Bp. Faure in this, I'd appreciate it. I know he attempted a seminary of sorts at one point, but I'm not sure if it is still operational or if Bp. Faure has ordained any priests.

  • Aside from possible re-ordinations, I'm only aware of one seminarian who has reached major orders:

  • Br. André OSB was ordained both as a deacon and priest by Bishop Williamson in Brazil in 2014. I was at both of the ordinations. He also encouraged Bishop Thomas Aquinas to ordain Br. Miguel, who was ordained a deacon recently and will be ordained a priest next month.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Wasn't there an ordination in the Philippines?

    Hmm... provocative topic Tradplorable ?

Yeah, what ever happened to Bp. Williamson's program of seminarians working & studying under the direction of Resistance priests?

That plan was supposed to give us mobility and flexibility in accelerating ordinations  :jumping2:

His neo-trad counterpart, Bp. Fellay, is hitting at least 15 or more ordinations annually.

    No priests... no resistance.

Guess we'll have to wheel-out the "doubtful" Thuc line bishops to keep the Resistance ordinations coming?

After all, the Sacrament of the "laying of hands", like Baptism, is not so complicated or "kosher".

Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Bishop Williamson was in Frace recently (on October) and he said about the seminary in Avrillé :
"Bishop Faure was absolutely right to open a seminary and it was necessary. Archbishop Lefebvre would have done the same thing."

I think Bishop Willliamson is more optimistic about the future because Bishop Faure certainly gave him hope.

  • Rev Fr Suneel was ordained in India by Bishop Faure; Fr John Marie Therese was ordained in Brazil in 2016 by Bishop Thomas Aquinas OSB; Bishop Williamson ordained a priest in Polonia this year, and just recently Bishop Thomas Aquinas OSB ordained a priest from his area, but I cannot remember his name.

Is this the same Bro. Andre? This was on 03/28/15

Yes, you are correct. He was ordained by Bishop Faure a little after his own consecration, which I also attended. My memory seemed to fail me. There was a lot happening in Brazil during those times and I was at the Holy Cross monastery running on little to no sleep.
One little tidbit I don’t forget, however, was the long bus ride with Bishop Williamson to a church near Brasilia in 2014 where Bishop Williamson ordained Bro. André a deacon in a diocesan church friendly to the Catholic resistance.

Also Friar John from the Philippines and very recently Fr Francis who was at OLMC seminary but was ordained elsewhere.
