  • A few events should be organised. The Resistance in England held a pilgrimage. Hopefully a few events can be organised in Ireland. There is no shame in parting company with the SSPX. It is they who have abandoned the heritage of Archbishop Lefebvre.

  • Why would people want to go to mass in a tent with a cd player as the choir when you can go to a church, its still the same TLM?

Besides I don't think people care what happens in ireland, notice the small I, not even the irish care. I come to this forum to get away from this godforsaken cesspool, you keep reminding people that such a place as this country exists. Why? Aint no resistance here. Only SSPX and the conciliar church do TLM. STOP posting about Ireland all the time, no one cares! not even me and Im irish, pisses me off to see something about this country all the time.

  • Reports are, that the neo sspx pilgrimage to Knock, was attended by a large crowd, from all over the country, but mostly, the mid-lands. the 'acting' superior was present, as was the new prior of athlone, fr mac donald, and fr gallagher. from some of the comments heard, we need not expect a resistance pilgrimage anytime soon.

This comment is in the wrong thread. You can hardly describe the pilgrimage lead by Fr Morgan as a resistance pilgrimage. I have met Fr Morgan and Fr Gallagher. Two of the better SSPX priests but priests of a society that has formally given up the fight, sold out Archbishop Lefebvre, 'expelled' Bishop Williamson.

Those that remain attending and assisting SSPX pilgrimages are complicit in the new direction.

This is a very public 'approval' of the Church of Bishop Fellay and the new direction. Most Irish SSPX folk are Christian Democrats so hardly resisting types.Good sorts, who mean well but not fighters.

For example I spoke to some women folk, who had 'concerns' over a sell out but were 100% behind the distraction rosary crusades. They were not vocal then.

  • The pilgrimage stgobnait mentions took place on Saturday and was not a resistance pilgrimage.

I was aware of it but did not attend. I will only support pilgrimages and events organised by the Catholic Resistance.

  • The last time I attended an SSPX pilgrimage at Knock Shrine, Sancte Pie Decime was sung after Mass.

I would be sorry to think they sang it on Saturday. They would have no shame if they did.

What a mockery it would be to the memory of Pope St. Pius X and Archbishop Lefebvre.

  • Though the priest, who played the organ when I attended the SSPX pilgrimage on that occasion thought nothing of telling lies from the pulpit at SSPX chapels.

Was Fr M aware of priests telling lies?

At the time a 'JMQ' thought it because I feared being denied the sacraments. It was more a case of the Irish laity unwilling to ask questions.
