I cannot speak for Matthew, but speaking as one of the first founders of trad message boards and online discussion groups way back in the day, it was always extremely annoying when infighting and division on another message board/ email discussion group got imported into one's own.

If not nipped in the bud immediately, it often would snowball until one's own group was similarly a war zone.

When a trad-world scandal happens on Fisheaters, of course that's Trad news and that's fair game.

A back-and-forth about ONE individual's banning (with little or no doctrinal component and a lot of subjective elements) is best left on that forum, or if that is impossible, should be confined to an e-mail sent to the moderator of that forum.

My wife did bring up a good point though -- I'll give it my own twist here.
"Hooray for sedevacantism" and all, but you just don't name a Sede forum after Archbishop Lefebvre. That's just silly!

Why not call a Sedevacantist forum BergoglioForum.com? How about a good pro-SSPX forum called FrCekada.com? How about a pro-Indult forum called PopeMichael.com? See how ridiculous that would be?

Archbishop Lefebvre could be a mascot for the SSPX, or even the Resistance (since that's what they hope to roll the SSPX back to). But Sedevacantism? That's a stretch.

It sounds like an average sermon from Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer could be posted verbatim on this "Resistance forum" in question and it would be censored/moderated/banned. That, my friend, is ridiculous and there are no two ways about it.
