I would like to ask all Cathinfo members to please remember Ireland in your prayers in the coming week.  Ireland will be holding a referendum on May 22nd on whether to allow same-sex marriage.  If this referendum is passed a once Catholic Ireland will be the first country to legalise gαy marriage by popular vote.  The decay of the Catholic faith has been a bit slower here than in other countries, but in the past few years we have been catching up. Only 2 years ago we legalised abortion.  200 years of penal laws and persecution between 1600 and 1829 couldn't destroy the Faith in Ireland, yet Vatican II has accomplished this in only 50 years.  Please storm Heaven for us, God's punishment will be greater for us as we have centuries of the Catholic Faith behind us, we should know better.
