  • I'm translating both sermons that father Pfeiffer and father Chazal made yesterday on the street in Manila. For father Chazal there is one word I can't understand in English, min.00.37 of the video : "rise up our cause, bring our cause to the ????? of man."
Can anybody tell me what is the word ? Thank you very much in advance. I just miss  this word to be able to publish the sermon in French.

I don't know if that's an alternate spelling, but I'm used to

    cognizance

    cog·ni·zance/ˈkägnəzəns/

    Noun:

    1.Knowledge, awareness, or notice.

    Synonyms:

    knowledge - cognition - recognition - awareness

This is a very important work you are voluntarily undertaking. It serves the good
of numerous souls. It is a spiritual work of mercy to translate these into French.

    The linked video begins thusly:

    "Father Chazal Sermon - Sept. 16th, 2012
Fr. Chazal said the first Mass on
    the street
across from the entrance to the
large SSPX chapel of OLVC in
    Quezon City, Manila, Philippines"

    Min. 0:38...
"...rise up, bring our cause to the cognizance of man..."

    Min. 1:09...
"...and that's why, in order to serve the truth, it's important to be ready to occupy
the last place, and to be entirely rejected for the sake of the truth..."

    It ends thusly:

    Frs Chazal and Joseph
    Pfeiffer were forbidden to
    say even private Masses on
    the side Altars of the
    Church, though superiors
still say that they are still
    members of SSPX.

  • In my dictionnary, there are both spellings. Let's pray for these courageous priests.
