Marlelar:
This is a red herring, the SSPX is not responsible for the personal problems/decisions of its parish members.
I find this remark troubling. If, indeed, this is the attitude of most SSPXers, (and I suspect it might be), then the situation can not help but to become worse. We're in the period of the Judges, I think. It is every man to his own tent. The idea of a Christian parish in which people love and care for one another has gone out the window. It is now survival of the fittest. If families fail, well, that's their problem, I guess. After all, don't these people have brains? Don't they have good sense? Well then, why don't they use it?
I called friends in PF about this most recent family tragedy. These are folks quite active at ICC. But they hadn't even heard about the matter, and expressed total shock at the news. This illustrates how many, if not most, sspx parishioners may feel and behave as, apparently, Marlelar does.
