  • Is there a list/count of priests who have left the priesthood who were ordained by Pivarunas?

What category of Tradition would CMRI fit in...?Tradsink¿

"...make up their own canonical rules and regulations. In August 1989, at the age of 30, Pivarunas convinced several of his CMRI buddies to name him “Superior General” of the CMRI sect.

    THE “EPISCOPAL” CONSECRATION

Sometime, in 1991, CMRI members contacted another schismatic sedevacantist bishop from Mexico named Moisés Carmona, who offered, in exchange for a “generous donation,” to make Mr. Pivarunas a bishop without any formal priestly training, without any proper ecclesiastical formation, and without the normally-required papal mandate. On September 24, 1991, Carmona supposedly “consecrated” Mr. Pivarunas a “bishop” at Mount Saint Michael..."

I mean, I'm not pro-CMRI, but the article does need to positively prove that the consecration didn't take place properly. Otherwise, I can't just claim "they're fake bishops" but provide no proof of why I think they're fake.

The "priestly training" can be dispensed of by a bishop, especially since "Mr." Pivarunas had already been part of the CMRI since 1974, so with 17 years of "training", I don't think one needs to doubt the consecration on that ground.

Thuc-line bishops are valid, as far as I know.

Oh right, the article is a complete joke.

  • I don't know that much about Bp. Pivarunas and the CMRI, but I have always heard good things about them on this board. Why the sudden slandering? Is is the good old rivalry between "trad" groups?
