  • Group photo after a cordial visit November 18, 2014 to the Our Lady of Victories Church of the Society of St. Pius X. In the picture are Mr. Robertson Poblete (President CFD Manila), Fr. Thomas Onoda, Fr. Carlos Reyes (CBCP-ECID & MEIFA), Fr. Allan Nely (Assistant to the Superior General of the Society), Fr. Emerson Salvador, Fr. Michael Fortin, Bro. Andre Demafelis, Bro. Hyacinth Pereño.

Fr. Nely was present in the September 23, 2014 meeting between Bishop Fellay and Cardinal Muller.

We also learned that Bishop Williamson is no longer with the Society. Although our relations with the Society do not fall under the competence of CBCP-ECID, I believe that reaching out to the Society falls under my obligation as a Catholic priest. Some canonical issues were taken up during the meeting. I will refer those matters to CBCP President Abp. Socrates Villegas and Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, head of the CBCP Doctrine of the Faith.

    - Fr. Carlos Reyes

  • What a disgrace!  The SSPX, just another religious group on equal footing with the Buddhist,  this Fr. Nely!  What recalls to mind what the Archbishop had to say in 1990...

Quote from: Archbishop Lefebvre in the Address to his priests, Econe, 1990
After all, we must be charitable, we must be kind, we must not be divisive, after all, they are celebrating the Tridentine Mass, they are not as bad as everyone says” —but THEY ARE BETRAYING US —betraying us! They are shaking hands with the Church’s destroyers. They are shaking hands with people holding modernist and liberal ideas condemned by the Church. So they are doing the devil’s work.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...
