But there is more to this. What about Our Lady? The first official act Pope
Francis did was to make a personal pilgrimage down the street in Rome (it
only takes a few minutes when you live in the Vatican and have a car), to
the basilica of St. Mary Major, where he went inside and knelt to pray before
the icon of the Virgin Mother of God that was painted by the hand of St. Luke
the Evangelist, the physician and artist who wrote the third Synoptic Gospel.
If you don't know about St. Mary Major, it is the oldest church in the world
dedicated to Our Lady, and rests on the foundation that was laid out by a
miraculous snowfall in the heat of Roman summer, thus the Feast Day we
still have today, Our Lady of the Snows.
Are you going to say that Our Lady cannot effect a change in the heart of a
man? She can put down a pattern for the foundation of a church with snow
in 100+ degree weather, but she can't melt the coldness of a man's heart?
And for 50 years this wonderful church and statue have been repeatedly defiled, subjected to the modernist's heresies and sacrilegious religion masquerading as the Catholic religion.
I mean c'mon Neil, certainly Our Lady can effect change - and through Her intercession we know that She will certainly do just that some day, but in the mean time, don't lose sight of reality...................there is only one Chosen Vessel of Election and that was St. Paul - unless you honestly have reason to believe that this pope will be the beneficiary of the same grace, (and other than having the hope of such a thing, this pope has not given anyone the slightest reason to have any such hope), hence you have no real reason to believe that such a miracle will happen.
All it takes is a stroke of his pen to show Our Lord and Lady that he wants to do what is right and THEN we can hope Our Lady will effect change - until then, the only signs we have to go by so far is that our pope is another modernist pope who needs our prayers desperately - same as the other conciliar popes - and like all things modernist, we cannot follow him in error - and we cannot allow ourselves to be taken in by his devotion to Our Lady - after all, wasn't JP2 wholly devoted to Her as well - Luminous mysteries and all.
All we can guess is that ultimately, the devotion was insincere, which is why Our Lady did not effect change in JP2 - or we might surmise that Our Lady actually did effect JP2 to some degree or he would have been an even worse pope.
What Pope Francis needs is prayers, yours and mine and all of ours. It's up
to us, because God doesn't hear the prayers of heretics. So if we don't pray
for the Pope and we sit around waiting for heretics to pray for him, we are
no better than they are!
Yes, it is our duty is to pray for the pope, but we can never drop our guard when it comes to the disease of modernism - it is, after all, what it is - and please correct me if I'm wrong but by now, after 50 years of half lies, we should know better and have no business giving them the benefit of the doubt.
