  • "Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • While they don't deserve the publicity, I do feel it is important to keep the information as a warning to those that are looking, those that once knew and trusted Fr. Hewko, those that were once loyal Fr. Pfeiffer, and those that might be tempted to give money.  I've met families that have moved cross country to live in tradition, poor families that have given generously to priests and parishes to support tradition, and families who once felt they found the last haven of Catholicism in the (old) SSPX.

Its because of CathInfo that people have learned about Post Falls, the various pedo traditional priest in the SSPX, Fr. Teathrow and now the former Fr. Cordaro that is still being passed as a priest.  10 years ago I wouldn't have questioned my children going to a SSPX summer camp, now I wouldn't consider it if they still are around.  With out forums like this one who once knew Fr. Hewko might have driven to KY to see what see their the OLMC without knowing Fr. Pfeiffer's view on the cause of road rage!  I wish there was a concise list of priests or former priest to watch out for.

  • OLMC news is like watching a slow-motion train wreck - horrifying, yet hard to avert one's eyes.  Rather than just sniping, pray much for them. Catholics still believe in miracles, don't they?

  • Fr. Pheiffer reminds me of those rough-hewed street-fighting priests of the past that would shout from the pulpit and make religion more than a cosy piece of Sunday entertainment. If there is any future for the religion of the past, any revival my need these interesting characters. Evidently, there are many roads to oblivion which include noisy ones and quiet ones.

  • It is a nice thought Wessex, but Fr. Pfeiffer lacks the discipline, common sense and theological muscle to be a credible street fighting priest.

Compare him to Father Feeney, the top street-fighting priest of the 20th Century, and it's like comparing a feral cat to a Lion.

With defense of the dogma of EENS, Father Feeney was the first to take on the crypto-modernists and expose newChurch in the 1940s.   From then until now, the Church has progressively degenerated every since.

  • I feel we have to make use of whatever resources we have available or give up on the mess out there. The problem is becoming too sectarian instead of keeping some distance from any apostolate. I am sure most trads already do that as they constantly shop around ..... the trend of today among Christians generally looking for churches and churchmen (and churchwomen!) that match their views, style and taste.
