Title: Please stop posting about . . .
Post by: Cera on July 11, 2019, 06:25:54 PM
Who are these crybabies who are so incapable of mounting a rational argument against a Catholic issue with which they disagree, that their arsenal includes only:

1.  name-calling

2.  pleas to "Stop posting about this."

Here's a great tip.
If you don't like the title of a thread, don't click on it.

Nobody's "crying" ... except you.  We're just annoyed by you.

You haven't presented a single "rational argument" in any of your long-ago-debunked cut-and-paste slander jobs.

It's gotten to the point of this having become a mental issue for you.

Yes, please stop posting about this because you’ve exhausted all efforts.

You continue to post the “bishops condemnation of TFP” as if that carries a lot of weight on this forum. They are Conciliar bishops who approve of Vatican II and the New Mass, yet call the TFP “anti-Catholic”. As Fr. Hesse would say, “If that ain’t a oxymoron, I ain’t heard one yet.”

Concerning +de Castro Mayer’s warning, it sounds like he retracted his statement based on evidence to the contrary.

I’m not even a fan boy of TFP/TIA! Plenty of members here are irked that this issue is constantly being brought up over and over again, with a new thread almost everyday.

It does seem to be an unhealthy obsession. We would like to know the real reason for your distaste of Plinio/Guimaraes.

Could there be a TFP sub forum where ALL TFP/Plinio/TIA/Atila/whatever goes and like the Feeneyism and flat earth sub forums they just argue it out there? Cera can go to town and whoever wants to fight her can just go there and the rest of CI moves on like normal?

Except it will still show up in ‘Recent Topics’ and that’s the only place I look for discussion (not sure if that’s how everyone else uses CathInfo).

I think banning trolls who obviously derail topics and who pump endless calumnies against devout dead Catholics
would eliminate the root cause of the problem.

Putting the "business-end" of a shotgun in the rat's nest.... and pulling the trigger would end the issue :farmer:

When flat earth posts were dominating the forum, he made a rule that this topic was only allowed in its specific sub-forum and then made it so posts from that sub-forum don't show up in recent topics.  It was the perfect solution in that situation.  He mentioned at the time that the software is now in place for him to easily use this feature again.

I've just ignored all the posts on the TIA issues so I don't know how similar the situations are, but he definitely has the technical ability if he decides that this is the best way to handle it.

Jayne, posts about TFP and TIA (2 different entities) are not a problem. They do not require their ghetto. The problem is with trolls who spam the TIA and TIA threads, and start new threads with no other object than to spam and calumniate.

Please stop posting "Stop posting about..." threads.
But this is a legitimate grievance.

If Matthew had a dollar for every time there was a TFP/TIA post started on this forum, the Resistance chapel he started would be the biggest cathedral in a 1000-mile radius.
