  • So, given our previous discussion, I looked up the law in England, and evidently ... unless you OPT OUT ... by default everyone is considered to have given consent to be an organ donor.  Now, given His Excellency's age, I suspect they would not want to take any of his vital organs, but hopefully our Catholic friends there are aware of this and can ensure that they've opted out.

  • I do not normally spend much time on X/twitter, but I did today, hunting down information on this. I saw so many wicked malicious hateful things said about His Excellency that I am not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight.  After today, I would not rule out anything as too evil to be possible.

I'm sure that the paid Jєωιѕн agents are out in full force ... as I imagine the venom and vitriol comes as a result of his statements about the h0Ɩ0cαųst.

He’s 84, almost 85 and has a variety of health conditions. 99.9% sure nobody wants his organs!

  • I just received word from definitely reliable source. Bp. W. is still on this side of eternity, but not expected to live. The person told me he is in his last agony. If he comes out of it, it will be truly miraculous. So keep on praying. There is probably a real battle for his soul, but Our Lady will win for him. Whatever his shortcomings, Bp. W. was faithful to her!

  • So, we still don’t know for sure what is his status. No official announcement has been issued.

  • “… There is a certain amount of dispute so that the Church permits the administration of Last Rites (at least conditoinally) until rigor mortis sets in, with rogor mortis being the unequivocal sign of corruption, which happens as a result of the animal soul (life force) having left the body.  Yet it's not certain that the soul remains there until rigor mortis, just that it MIGHT, at least in some cases.  We know, obviously, that Our Lord suffered no such corruption despite His soul having left His body.”

According to qualified medical opinions from analysis of the Holy Shroud of Turin, Our Lord’s body manifested signs of rigor mortis.

Both in His leg, which kept a raised position, as it was positioned, one foot upon another, during the Crucifixion and in His head and neck region.

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

I have never heard before of rigor mortis being referred to as a kind of corruption.

It has to do with chemical changes in the muscle tissue.

When my father died, I overheard either the coroner or one of the morticians (I don't recall which) saying that rigor mortis had already set in.  I found that hard to believe, as his pulse and respiration had only stopped about an hour before.

  • OK, please read.  I said it was the SIGN of corruption, not that it's actual corruption.  Short of having the ability to conduct chemical tests, that is the criterion the Church generally set for the time until which conditional Last Rites might be administered.  At some point shortly after the rigor mortis, the corruption begins, but, as stated, short of a priest carrying a lab kit with him, it's considered the sign that the soul has left the body, where there's no life force left, and as a sign the corruption is beginning.  It's not corruption itself.

To my mind, the two concepts were the same.  Thanks for the clarification.

That is probably a pretty good indication that the soul has left the body.  There's no coming back.

  • I recall, and perhaps some others as well, when when Bp. W was rector of STAS in Winona a certain prankster (It wasn't me.) notified the U.S. District headquarters of Bp. W's sudden demise.  People were said to be scrambling right and left to make funeral arrangements.  I don't recall exactly how much time transpired before the hoax was uncovered.

Wow! That prankster had nerve or he was very foolish. How did His Excellency react?  Expulsion?
This time it’s not a false alarm; Bp. W.’s time has come.
May God be with him and Our Lady be his Consolation.

  • According to the Truth Unchained site, HE Bp Williamson is still living.

No offense intended to anyone, but that is the only site I am going to consult, as to updates on his situation.

The Catholic Herald (UK) was reporting earlier this morning that BW had died, but they pulled the story almost immediately, and are now reporting that he is still in hospital in serious condition.

Hmmm.  I don't recall having been there during this incident, but then I also wasn't always in the loop about what went on there.  I was there about 1989 - 1992.
