  • It's good to see that some familiar faces were able to make the trip south.

The thought crossed my mind as well.

I suppose he attended the Consecrations because A) it was the place to be, and he enjoys travelling, and B) he wanted to maintain some modicuм of credibility and apparent relevance in the Resistance world, even though he personally opposes +W and allows public criticism of him on his official blogs (which he controls).

  • The World at large needs Catholic Bishops.  Now there is one more.

Or he wants to connect with +Faure now that he burned bridges with +Williamson.  He does not someone to ordain his seminarians, after all.

I would think that his only frustration with Bp Williamson was due to his reluctance in moving forward and energizing a new group of priests and faithful. Consecrating a new bishop would be exactly what Father P would like to see and I'm not surprised to see him there to support the bishops.

  • We must hope that appropriate amends were made to Bishop Williamson, and that the proper respect will be shown in the future to both he and Bishop Faure, when they do, or do not do, what others think that they should.

  • A Few personal ones here....
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...
