  • Post the grave pic; if I need to modify it (so it can't be geolocated) I can do that.

In fact, I'd prefer you just send it to me, and I'll post it. I need to create a new pic from it, so it doesn't have geolocation coordinates embedded in it. If you don't know what that is, you definitely need to send it to me. Every picture you take CONTAINS THE EXACT COORDINATES at which the picture was taken.
But AI and other tools can look at the background of a picture and identify where the picture was taken as well.

Graves of deceased conservatives have been desecrated in the past; we all know Bp. Williamson's relationship with the MainStreamMedia, Powers that Be, etc. To his credit, he opposed every force of evil. But these same forces of evil -- many with real power -- would love to destroy and/or desecrate the good Bishop's grave.

Remember what year we're living in. People are celebrating the assassination of a man with young children, calling 1/2 the country "the bad guys from WW2", throwing names around willy-nilly -- names they can't even define. Something like 1/2 of GenZ said political violence was acceptable. It's an insane world. You CANNOT be too careful in such a world.

It’s insane the way some people were celebrating the Kirk assassination. Really despicable. And calling Trump supporters the ‘WW2 bad guys’ is equally crazy. I didn’t know the location of every picture could be tracked!

That would depend on the device.  Phones certainly do, but if you have a dedicated camera, probably only the higher end ones would have geolocation capabilities.

That’s interesting to know. So if you post a picture of where you live online, taken with your phone, people can potentially find your house..?
I was going to mention in regards to the late Bishop Williamson’s grave, that here in the UK it’s possible after a certain amount of time has elapsed, for anyone to look up burial places of private individuals. I’m not sure of the details as I haven’t done this myself.

I would imagine that it's a "feature" of the default software on various O/S (Android / IOS), and since phones typically have GPS, that would like be in there by default.  Perhaps there's a way to turn that off.  They embed this information in what they refer to as EXIF metadata.  It's not difficult to remove, but most people don't know it's there.

In the US at least, there is a website called "Find A Grave", where the particulars of individual graves and cemeteries are published by volunteers who go around chronicling and taking pictures of them.  Someone had done that for my parents, and for privacy reasons I contacted the person and asked them to remove it, which they did.

  • I have photos of my parents’ graves taken with an old fashioned Kodak instamatic. I had them developed by a fellow who does retro photography for a hobby. If someone really wanted to learn where they’re buried, it could be found rather easily. There’s no reason to think anyone would want to desecrate their grave. Bp. W. is another matter!

Someone actually told me its location but I’ve forgotten the name of the cemetery, I only remember the town. I obviously won’t post it. I do think the furore about him leaving SSPX and the reasons has died down now, as well as his unfortunate remarks on Swedish TV. Most non Catholics won’t even know who he is.

Oh, this is a case where the short attention span of the public works in his favor.  By this time, for the vast majority, even in the UK, it's "Williamson who?" ... with only long-time Traditional Catholics (non-SSPX) remembering much about him, since you would not have heard him even so much as mentioned in SSPX for the past dozen or so years ... and, despite their differences, I doubt that any Traditional Catholics, regardless of their position on the crisis, would go and desecrate His Excellency's grave.

Absolutely… I hope no traditional Catholics would desecrate any grave! Most SSPX attendees will have heard of Williamson. Agree about short attention span of most people. Too many Tik Tok Videos 😀

I don’t think there’s any worry a traditional Catholic of any persuasion would desecrate Bp. Williamson’s grave, even if they vehemently disagreed with him.  I’m thinking perhaps people connected with or supporters of the Mossad, or an extreme leftist with whom he clashed or he publicly criticized. Your average person doesn’t know anything about him, or that he even existed.
If a person is so low as to desecrate Bp. W’s grave, I can imagine God giving permission for the Bishop to haunt him!

Any grave desecrators should definitely be haunted and subjected to listening to the Bishops sermons 24/7!!

Seriously though, I disagreed with the late Bishop on a number of issues but God rest his soul, it’s easy to point out others mistakes and not look at ourselves. He did a lot of good through his online apostolate and generated many conversions.
