I must say after seeing the pictures that the seminary is starting to look like something. I remember seeing a video about a year ago of the progress being made in construction and back then it looked like nothing more than a few huts in the jungle, but now I see that a lot of work has been done. I would love to see an update video where Father Chazal shows us all the progress that he has made.

They must not have very much rain there -- wouldn't it rain through the cracks and get all those books wet? Do they have a waterproof container to put most of the books in before "monsoon season" or something?

Only speculating here, but I think that the humidity would be  constantly high. The humidity becomes a greater danger for such objects rather than the rain, of which ( looking at the vegetation ) there is plenty. Dealing with humidity becomes the priority, whilst rain is dealt with via extensive overhangs / roofing etc. that extends a long way past the walls / windows. The only way ( excluding air conditioning ) to prevent the constant humidity from overwhelming an indoor structure via condensation etc. is to enable the flow or movement of air. Therefore the bamboo ( with it's cracks ), whilst allowing for delineation of particular spaces and degrees of privacy; is probably ideally suited for this task. It is also abundantly available.
