Yep.  That is absolutely a Novus Ordo mentality to offer Mass in locations and settings calculated to make a statement or an impression ... and throw rules out the window ... his testosterone levels (per you) notwithstanding.

This is not that many steps away from putting the beachball on the table (aka altar) or bringing in the clowns.  Priest offering Mass on a jeep out of necessity for the benefit of the faithful who might be receiving their last Sacraments (and even putting himself in harm's way) ... edifying.  Priest offering Mass on a jeep for no reason other than effect ... Novus Ordo mentality regarding the Liturgy.

I am intimately acquainted with the Novus Ordo attitude to the Mass in having served as the lead altar boy in my Novus Ordo parish growing up.
