  • This person is asking for cheques to be made out to......Kentucky...... for the Monastery of Santa Cruz in Brazil and he doesn't even know where the monastery is! He also talks about the consecration for 6 minutes and never once mentions Bishop Williamson!

  • It's not a scam. They do forward donations as requested, at least they have in the past.

  • All official donations for the Monastery of the Holy Cross where the prior is Fr. Thomas Aquinas, osb, should be sent via paypal.  There is a useful site which is from the Benedictines in English with all information.  Any information which does not appear on the official Benedictine site of the monastery of the Holy Cross should be disregarded.  The Monastery seems to be without internet at the time and this has caused difficulty in confirming this.  There also seems to be an address for Chicago which appears to be very suspect.

As a rule, what is not on the official site of Fr. Thomas Aquinas, WHICH IS IN ENGLISH, please use caution.

    Here is a helpful link.

Don't forget that this week there will be the first priestly ordination for the Union sacerdotal Marcel Lefebvre

  • OLMC has always seemed trustworthy in the past to forward donations to the parties for which they were intended. Calling it a "scam" seems wrong.

  • I say do not trust/support fr. pfieffer or fr. hewko until they distance themselves from pablo(paul hernandez).  Because, pablo is a wolf(aka a lycanthrop).

  • I honestly don't see how Fr. Pfeiffer can hold on to this man and continue to sustain any credibility.  I personally wouldn't send a dime to KY, if he is involved in any way.

  • I have no reason to believe Pablo is doing anything amiss with the money, but I would be interested to know who owns the various bank accounts.

I ask because it's common knowledge that Pablo owns all the Internet properties associated with Fr. Pfeiffer. He also funnels all communication through himself (unless something has changed very recently).

It's too much power for a layman to potentially wield over a priest.

The layman doesn't have to be a scoundrel. Any non-saint would be at risk! It's simply not proper for a layman to hold a priest's purse strings.

I don't know anything about the situation with Pablo.  I would think that if the funds are not going into Pablo's hands then there is nothing to worry about, but who knows.  I have not been able to confirm anything regarding this.

What I was able to confirm is that the address that a Cath Info member had asked about last week is indeed correct, it was opened for Dom Tomas by a trusted person.

This address is correct and valid:
    Holy Cross Monastery Brazil Inc.
    223 West Jackson, Suite 615
    Chicago, IL 60606

I can't say anything about the Pablo video because I don't have any information about that.

He has lost a great deal of it because of this situation.

  • Since we're on the subject of donations/OLMC, I'd like to pass on this urgent request for donations I received yesterday:

All the Resistance coordinators have been asked to humbly plead for
emergency donations for Our Lady of Mount Carmel because there are no
longer funds available for the priests to travel for Holy Week.  If
you are able to contribute any amount no matter how small or large
please send it directly to OLMC either through the Paypal donation
link on the InThisSign website or mail a check directly to:

     Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer
     OLMC Seminary
     1730 N. Stillwell Road
     Boston, KY 40107

Donations do not guarantee Masses at a particular mission for Holy
Week.  Those who are unable to donate at this time please be generous
     with your prayers.

  • I needed to read twice the heading of the thread before I understood that the issue was not the consecration of P the M. What a relief!

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
    Praised be Jesus ad Mary!

  • There is a problem, IMO, with P the M and whole situation of the OLMC.  I believe that both Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko are good priests who could be quite useful to the 'break-away movement.'  (I can't use the name "resistance" any longer.  It takes on a different meaning depending upon whom you talk to)  But the OLMC has an outlook and an agenda which may not altogether correspond to the vision set forth by of Bps. Williamson and Faure.  Obviously, P the M wants to hitch the OLMC to the bishops' rising star.  But there's going to have to be a better understanding of who's in charge and who is subordinate, IMO.  I see the future presently as kind of worrisome.
