It's the XSPX that's "over," not the Resistance.

As one prominent and rising priest of the same Resistance has announced, "The Society of St. Pius X is already dead.  They're just looking for a spot to bury it."

This is not true in any sense of the word. You just wish it were. Things are fine and dandy with the SSPX at this time, thank you. The Declaration is scrapped and according to Fr. Morgan, Bishop Fellay has said this in Ireland and England. And according to a seminarian in my family from Winona, he told them this face to face. He has withdrawn and repudiated it and it is off the table. Thanks be to God!

Where I live, there are lots of priests and we hear lots of sermons. Not one has been modernist and it seems that our patience has borne its fruit. Pope Francis is totally off the deep end and it seems he is manifestly not Catholic, and with the Synod, I doubt very much that Bishop Fellay will attempt a doomed to failure deal with Rome. If he did, he would probably go alone. There are too many people who disagree with it, especially now that the Pope has shown himself so inimical to true Catholicism. There is a question how much more of the Pope's shenanigans that even many of his cardinals will take before acting.

You know, Bishop Williamson is not stupid. He is not blind. There is no way he is going to ordain anyone from that seminary in Boston the way things are going and he probably won't consecrate a bishop anytime soon. I don't believe he really wants a separate "movement" and if I am not mistaken, he has said this. The Society is in his blood.

Why did Bishop Fellay go and meet with Cardinal Mueller recently and why has Abp Pozzo made certain comments to the media, favorable to a deal, subsequent to that meeting? About 5 years ago Bishop Fellay told a faithful who met him in New Zealand that he would never make a deal with Rome, yet his number 3, Fr Nely, is believed to have said, a year or so ago, that the train is leaving for Rome and those who want to stay behind can do so....

Cordial Visit to the Our Lady of Victories Church of the Society of St. Pius X

Group photo after a cordial visit November 18, 2014 to the Our Lady of Victories Church of the Society of St. Pius X. In the picture are Mr. Robertson Poblete (President CFD Manila), Fr. Thomas Onoda, Fr. Carlos Reyes (CBCP-ECID & MEIFA), Fr. Allan Nely (Assistant to the Superior General of the Society), Fr. Emerson Salvador, Fr. Michael Fortin, Bro. Andre Demafelis, Bro. Hyacinth Pereño.

Fr. Nely was present in the September 23, 2014 meeting between Bishop Fellay and Cardinal Muller.

We also learned that Bishop Williamson is no longer with the Society. Although our relations with the Society do not fall under the competence of CBCP-ECID, I believe that reaching out to the Society falls under my obligation as a Catholic priest. Some canonical issues were taken up during the meeting. I will refer those matters to CBCP President Abp. Socrates Villegas and Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, head of the CBCP Doctrine of the Faith.
