  • We shouldn't comment anymore on the spammed threads becuase the moderator will have a hard time finding them all.  We should only select a thread to comment on.  The Pfeifferites are attempted to move the conversation onto something else. It's a power strategy.  Go to outstanding lengths to save reputation.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

    No post? Then he wins.

    Just kidding!  :jester:

You'll notice the posts aren't really there. It leaves him as "last post" when you delete straight from the database.

Goodness, what is happening here now??!?! we got patIV spamming his post all over the place even dredging up old threads from years ago to post some list.

I have never been a member or supporter of the Resistance, and thanks to these recent developments I wouldn't get within a mile of any Resistance chapel, but still as fellow Catholics I am embarrassed that this spat has come to this.  This is so unbelievably juvenile I am (nearly) speechless.  I would never have guessed that I would look back fondly to the red-letter days when 62meyer regaled us with his tales from Rome on the prairie...

Why the resistance won't amount to anything.

    No leadership
    Dim followers
    Reliance on fantasy
Claims of “activism” …by those who don’t even act

    Interesting.

    I was thinking....

    - Divided leadership
    - Inexperienced followers
    - Reliance on alleged private prophecy and external conspiracy
    - No clear distinction from sedeprivationism, except in name only
    - No stability or consistency
    - Lots of initiative, but no momentum

What on earth?  What's up with the Denny's screed?  "Do you know how hard it is to eat ice-cold pancakes when trads are bothering me?  Where's the justice for my grand slam?"

Its like something out of a Phil Hendrie skit.

    I'm laughing out loud. Unbelievable.

I wish I knew who composed this!  Why hide that talent under a bushel?

That was a lame attempt at a joke.  Sounds like someone had one too many shots of vodka.

It reads like a Barnhart wannabe.

  • Though I noticed one substantive claim, that the coordinators knew beforehand that the personal details they provided might become public at some point. Can Matthew or any other coordinator confirm or deny?

From the first time I saw the Coordinator's List it was understood that it was to remain PRIVATE for internal use only.

For that matter, I recall Pablo being PARTICULARLY forbidden from getting his hands on this information -- because he would probably make it public.

I got the first version of it, too. I've been with the Resistance from the beginning.

There was no "understanding" that it was to become public in full or in part. Not at all.

I remember being OK with having my name on the list ONLY BECAUSE of that little message at the top "Private only -- not to be posted on the Internet"

  • So in all that lengthy emotional screed the one substantive claim is a falsehood. Another coordinator messaged me the same information.

I can honestly tell you that I was always told that the information was to remain private within the coordinators when it was collected in January and February of 2014. I would have never given out my main email, personal address and emergency phone number otherwise. I have a family to raise and I would have never have done so otherwise.

  • " I have a family to raise" (?) That sounds overly dramatic. Are we in Elizabethan England? Are we being hunted by Cromwell's roundheads? Are we in Brittany or the Vendee'? I mean really, are you ashamed to resist Menzingen and it's anti-Lefebvre direction? A tempest in a teapot.
