Author Topic: Our Blessed Mother Mentioned in the Sunday Sermon (Read 693 times)

I have read in other posts, comments regarding how often the BVM is mentioned in Sunday sermons. In the past, I would have said she was included in every Sunday sermon, and included in more than just a passing comment. With two recent pastor changes in less than two years, it became obvious she was not being included on a regular basis. I have taken note of the lack of inclusion of the BVM in previous sermons, but I failed to make note of specific dates. Today was different. There was again, no mention of her, assuming you don't count the announcement for Dec 8th Holy Day of Obligation.

Has anyone else noted this condition?

When I was in the novus ordo - I never heard her referred to even once.

It wasn't until I discovered Tradition that I started hearing Our Lady referred to.

Believe it or don't, when I lived in Upstate New York and waaaay back in my Nervous Ordeal adventures, it was NOT infrequent to have heard even a very sound, pious sermon about Our Lady! But then, that was the home of many Polish, Irish and Italian Catholics and the priests were not as horribly miseducated, for the most part.

Luckily. all of the priests for the past 4 years or so have mentioned BVM at every Mass, most often reminding us of our rosary, and scapular, and that we should not be negligent of our Mother.

When the Newchurch criminals want to be thoroughly Protestant so that they can advance the agenda of the Freemasons, they will remove, obfuscate or destroy anything that is traditional.

You've seen the removal of altars, you've seen the removal of communion rails, you've read and heard the devolution of their doctrine from traditional to pseudo-trad to outright heresy.

Why should anyone be surprised that Our Lady is ignored and shunned by the minions of Newrome? She, already uniquely above all saints and far superior in holiness to anyone except Almighty God, represents the pinnacle of how Catholic a person's faith and devotion are.

Arch-heretic Martin Luder (Luther) said, "tolle missa, tolle ecclesia" (if you take away the Mass, you take away the Church). How very true.

I would add to that, and say "tolle Maria Vigine, tolle fide Catholicam". If you take away the Virgin Mary, you may have a "faith", but it's not a Catholic faith.

Looking for orthodoxy or orthopraxy in the Novus Ordo is not like looking for a needle in a haystack; it's more like looking for that same needle on Mars, where there are no haystacks.
