I did not see Fr. Hewko myself. However, I really don't know what he looks like all that well so I could have seen him and didn't know it.

    God bless Fr David Hewko.

Twelve young men received the sacerdotal powers today. I'm very happy for them and I hope you all are too. Please keep all of them in your prayers, as I will surely do.

I wish the seminary page would list the names with the pictures so we would know one from another.

    Who defected?

I thought Matthew Stafki, the brother of Father Mark Stafki was supposed to be ordained too.  Anyone know why he wasn't?

Was this meant tongue and cheek? If not, what is the point of posting this rather vague message?

    1 defection? Who? Why?

Maybe it was a retarded joke, because the post itself is the "defection."

  •             ________FACT_________

Fr. Hewko flew in from Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and came to Winona, to be with his family,           NOT          to confront anyone.

He is a Catholic Priest, par excellence.

He stayed by himself at a "low profile" motel on the east end of town.

At Thursday night dinner, with his family, he was told "he should NOT be on the cemetery (seminary) grounds.  (Editorial License - I play with words.)

The source is the  '"BOSS"' and the ramifications for a new Priest are obvious to all who have been aware of the    SSPX  rebranding,    change of direction.

Therefore, the BEST Fr. could do, was pray his Breviary, parked on a PUBLIC road at the same elevation (actually higher) a very short distance away, (feet, not miles) during the ordination of his nephew.

Catholic charity at its' finest!!!!! (my pejorative  comment to this otherwise factual reporting)

___________Was the parking of a Winona County Sheriffs' car at the entrance to the cemetery, I mean seminary, supposed to imply something. No Tradcats among Winona's Finest. _________

I believe this was the largest turnout in the past 10 years at least. Over 200 tent/campers, main tent full, north side outside of tent chairs at 90%, south side garage full, car parking in north cow pasture full, (some mud, 2 inches of rain during thursday night, and very wet previous couple weeks) and the south hay field was full.

A tall Priest was observed assisting an inexperienced young driver who was "buried" in the mud. His "old SSPX" prayers were soon rewarded by a tractor and 40 ft. of chain.      Novus Order catholic charity in action. Friendly people in Minnesota.

  • These huge crowds of people during ordinations it was "a manifestation of strength in numbers". :boxer:

In Ontario for the first time SSPX has organized a bus trip to Winona. The faithful were happy to go for ordinations because we have three new priests ordained from Canada. Unfortunately, only one remains in the country. Once again, the question  must be asked: why here govern the priests from abroad, and our are shipped to countries where the number of years it will take them to acclimatize and sometimes learn a new and "exotic" language FROM THE BEGINNING ( for ex.Lithuanian)

All twelve new priests put together would have a tough time
standing head to head with this man. When the boys were at LaSalette Academy, Fr. Hewko
( the incomparable) came for a mission retreat for the students. During the week, he (fr. Hewko)
Related to the boys of a young fella in California who was having terrible
attacks by Satan; who was very sick and was viciferously denying his faith. Father
asked the LaSalette boys if they would not offer up all their prayers, works, studies, and
Sacrifices that week for this young man.

The boys agreed. You can imagine, with Father Hewko intent on turning these
boys into Catholic men, they had plenty to offer up that week!
Father soon left to return to his missions. A short time later. He wrote the boys,
giving them the good news: the young man's heart was converted, he asked for his priest
( of course traditional), received the sacraments of Holy Mother
The Church, and passed away. Deo Gratias! That's Father Hewko!
When you see him-- you'll know him. And then you'll know you have seen a true priest of
    Jesus Christ

Ps: you can meet Fr. Hewko at the 25 th Anniversary Celebration
For Bishop Williamson this week in Vienna, Va. ( see www..com)

       Cemetery sounds pretty accurate.

  • I received a letter that Fr. de Chambord has left the SSPX. I always thought of him as being on "Bishop Fellay's side" and the letter really said much but not a lot if you get my drift. Fr. de Chambord was stationed in America since December 2012.

To paraphrase the quote from St. Athanasius, "They have the buildings, but we have the Faith" one could also say "They have the numbers, but we have the Faith"

It reminds me of how the Liberals in the US bring bus loads of people in for some voting issue to get the numbers they want.
