I have been notified by another member. The member asked:
"Were you aware that most of Europe writes its dates differently from the way
Americans write it [sic]?"
To answer this shallow question, yes, I was aware, I am aware, and I will
continue to be aware. But I was not referring to the order of the fields. I
was referring to the fact that he forgot to put a 1 next to the 3 in the year, 13.
If he usually gets confused with the forward slash and a subsequent 1, then,
if he has any intelligence, he could easily switch to using hyphens: 17-3-13.
Now, if he hasn't figured that out, then maybe that's a good reason to replace
him with a DS who can think. Or, perhaps the Menzingen-denizens are
happier with DSs who cannot think for themselves!! HAHAHAHAHAHA
But if he has figured that out and he persists in not avoiding the near occasion
of silly slip-ups, maybe he makes a habit of not avoiding the near occasion of
other things, too, like paying heed to reasons why he or someone else should
not read The Recusant, for starters.
But I suspect that all it is, is that he made an oversight because he was in a
real big hurry to slam out this 'NOTE TO THE MILKMAN' kind of memo thing,
and wasn't paying much attention to details, since there was so much on his
mind, since he was having scruples about whether he should go through with
this note-to-the-milkman kind of thing, since trying not to think about it is
really distracting, since thinking about it makes him so upset.
And he doesn't want to be upset!
That's why it was funny. But now, if you didn't 'get it' and now you do, it
probably isn't funny. But that's the way with humor, or, as Fr. Morgan would
likely say,
That's the way with humour. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
